I would have to agree.  Tobey snubbed me when I asked for an autograph one time!  I walked by him on the set of Spider-Man 2 in NYC and got DENIED. "No, I’m sorry."  Ouch. Moving on… in Tobey Maguire‘s upcoming film, The Good German, he plays Tully, a soldier  in the American army motor pool assigned to drive Jake (George Clooney) around Berlin, has black market connections that may be Lena’s (Cate Blanchett) way out — or lead them all into even darker territory.  Opens September 2006.  Pictures include Tobey Maguire out and about with his friends early last week.

hello there @ 05/16/2006 at 12:34 pm

Well I think there’s a reason Teri’s on the Worst list… she’s a freakin’ diva! She found out that Marcia Cross and Eva Longoria were on a list for being the most "sexiest" or something, and Teri said, "What?! Why am I not on there?!" Maybe because Tango and Cash is exstinct? Maybe because Teri, you got… how should I say… older? This girl will cry over split milk for crying out loud.

Teri Hatcher should be glad anyone even wants her autograph. In fact, she should be glad there’s still anyone in the world able to approach her without being terrified into catatonia by that hollow, haggard, leathery face of hers. A has-been should never behave like a diva.

Your run in with Tobey, kind of leaves a bitter impression on me of him now. A humbler person is so much more attractive. Such a shame I like some of the people on the bottom list too. To me at least.

Famous people shouldn’t give out autographs anyway. If I were famous, I wouldn’t give them out. It’s just writing, on a freaking piece of paper! And all these people who think they are getting something valuable are really getting the writing of some dumbass, egotistical celebrity, who gives two s**** about the fans that made them, who was probably so bothered that someone came up to them asking for something which only slowed down their day. When will people learn that not only do celebrities not enjoy giving autographs no matter how much they fake it to look like they care when what they really care about is dinner at the Ivy and club Mood. And when will people learn that celebrities are not larger than life, they’re not worth an autograph because 1) they are just people 2) they are not as humble, selfless and good-hearted as the "average" human being. Sometimes I just think about the concept of an autograph and it’s quite absurd that we now value the writing of people who think only of themselves

i don`t care whether they are humble or not. but if they are average, i like rather than my neighbor. i like not them but their talent. even if they are kind, no talent no respect.

I for one, would never ask for an autograph because: a) actors really do not impress me (wow, they act), and b) I don’t care about having something hardly legible scrawled on a crumpled piece of paper. I do think that they need to have respect for the fans that come up to them. If it weren’t for the fans, these celebs would not be living this "great" lifestyle. Anytime I hear of a celeb not signing something, or being rude to a fan, I want to punch them in the throat. That’s my 0.02.

I do not understand the appeal of autographs. If you need a famous person to write their name on a piece of paper for you, you really need a better hobby.

I’ll consider this next time I think about watching one of his flicks.

I had the same run-in with a singer who wouldn’t bother to give me his autograph, and did it in a very insulting way, too. So now I don’t even bother with autographs, I just bring my digital camera and take a picture (although if I ever see Angie I probably would try to get her autograph since she is on the list as one of the more gracious celebrities). I’m kind of surprised at Bruce Willis and Halle Berry — I kind of thought they were one of the more obliging celebrities. Russell Crowe and Cameron — enough said!

You guys are weird. You change your opinion of a person because they don’t want to be bothered by some nobody wanting their autograph? I’d be like that too. Get the hell out of my face, I’m trying to live here.Good for Toby, and good for Cameron for being at the top of that list. Autographs are just a scribble on a piece of paper. It’s not even their real name…

Andrómeda @ 05/17/2006 at 2:43 am

I knew Angie would appear on the top ten list. And there are only two women: Angelina and Brittany. And of course Johnny and George would be there too, they are cool !!

its not about the name of piece of paper….its about to be closer to the fame (probably)… i agree that screaming and stalking celebs just for an sign is sick, but most of us dont have the chances for more then this…:)

oh i forgot..in which list is Brad Pitt? ))

Why would anyone WANT Tobey McGuire’s autograph?

I myself don’t ask for autographs but why the hell not? People say that they meet someone all the time and never have proof, well what better than to get a signature, if a camera is not available. Some autographs grow in value as time passes like athlete’s, so why not ask?

Personally I don’t make a big deal about seeing famous celebrities in public. They all eat, **** and get old just like the rest of us. Being able to say you banged a celebrity..now that is a big deal.
