Getty images also stated that bids may be entered and that the family would have the last say as to whom was able to purchase these pictures, so I doubt non reputable magazines such as US weekly who predicted the birth to take place on 5/2/06 OR lifestyle magazine who stated at one point that they had broken up. These are very busines savvy people who know how they would like to be presented and by whom.

African Girl—I have not been able to keep up on all these threads so I am not sure where you are going but be assured that our thoughts and well wishes will be there wherever you go or are. Let me remind you all again about my advanced age . LOL Now I know that age doesn’t necessarily go with wisdom but (let me pat myself on the back for a second) I have earned it . There are universal truisms that I have learned of …some later than others. One is that you are either part of the problem or a part of the solution. Another is that life on earth is not governed by the laws of heaven as much as they are governed by the laws of the jungle. I have read accusations of manipulation of the media countered against Brad and Angie. But if one looks at it… They are dealing with a given in their life in the best possible way. Instead of being used by the media for the medias sole profit; they are using the media for the profit of all the voiceless in the world’s society. I have always told my kids that we always have a choice to turn a negative into a positive. A mistake turns into a valuable lesson if you learn from it. Angie and Brad have turned the media scrutiny they have to endure into something wortwhile by having it reflect from them on charitable causes or by controlling who profits from the invasion of their privacy that is a part of their fame. Whether I like or don’t like these individuals is not important. "Like" is really something that requires vis a vis interaction. But they have earned not only my respect but also my admiration by the choises they have/are making.

Baby Shiloh has an awesome legacy forthcoming. I don’t know how many others out there are like me– not much into Hollywood or fame or any of that material surface cr*p. Didn’t even own a TV for ten years! But hey, gee, beyond experlative expression~hello! A baby of these incredible souls may rival the glow I felt for my own three children! Never have I bought an entertainment magazine…used to think my little cousin was insane with her own obsession here. Now, here I am, ready and waiting to scrapbook lil’Shiloh next to my toddler’s pics. What an incredible way to build donations for solid and authentic heartfelt causes. We should all seek to emulate their creativity in our own way to help others. I sincerely wish this family the best of fortune, for unlike most of Hollywood they seek to protect and dissemminate their smart contributions in ways that greatly gather the support of a diverse and motivated audience. My daughter and her husband took limited photos of their two newborn babies because they didn’t want flashes going off in their faces and none were done in professional studios for the first 6 months because of the heat from the lighting.Most of her friends have been the same way.Naturally this all seems very wrong to me–AND I MEAN NO OFFENSE BY THIS–especially since for the mostpart newborns are just sort of well, blobs, and they all really do look a lot alike. Plus they may have a full head of hair and week later…nothing. LOLThere’s just not much that’s very defined about their features early on and there are lots of changes in the first couple of months especially. So I really don’t understand why loving parents would put their newborn through a professional photo shoot, why anybody would pay that kind of money for the photos, and mostly why anybody would even be all that interested in seeing photos before the baby has even started to look much like what the baby is going to look like!! It’s not like they couldn’t keep the baby out of sight for a few more weeks. e.g., Tom Cruise. Even Brit waited for a while and you know a lot of people wanted to see Sean Preston right away too.

Saddest of All – I think it is because they are coming back to the U.S. and they know that if they don’t put out SOME sort of pictures of Shiloh, that they will be stalked and hunted MERCILESSLY until there is a picture out there. I mean, the interest in Shiloh is 1000X times that of any other celebrity baby right now. So while I think you might be right that Shiloh’s features won’t be defined and we really won’t be able to much tell what she’ll look like in the pics as she was probably only a bit over 1 week old when they were taken, it will placate the paparazzi somewhat so they ccan safely return home to the States.

Does anyone have the video of Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick allowing the media to take the first photos of their son James Wilke? I believe he was between 1-2 weeks old when Sarah and Matthew chose to have the press (with FLASH) take pictures of James outside of their Manhattan home. #257 Malibumom-You may be right about them being married (I can totally see how they could be and just have kept it to themselves and family/close friends), but Brad would still need to legally adopt Mad and Z even if they were married in order to be their legal dad. I believe that an adoption petition was filed(maybe confidentially)with the name change b/c it would not make sense to me for Brad to only be legal parent to Shiloh but not to Mad and Z. Just changing their names does not itself make one a legal parent. The news stories are sometimes accurate and sometimes not. There are news stories that say Brad is in the process of adopting them, that he has adopted them, that he is their legal guardian, etc. The truth will be known when and if Brad and Angie decide to do so. It has benefitted them so far to keep silent as to their relationship, and after all it is their lives. They have not directly affirmed or denied anything. It will be interesting to see them together and hear what they have to say if a press conference is held next week, as they only had very limited press events for MMS(remember the press had to sign written agreements not to ask any personal questions). It will also be interesting to see how they live their lives back in the states, now that we are used to seeing them all together almost all of the time since they began their world tour at the end of January. I hope that family togetherness/closeness remains intact.

What better use of the money than for it to go to charity? There is a 100% certainty that otherwise the pictures would have gone to some paparrazi anyway. Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, while I do commend them for not wanting to "profit" from their baby, I think that, it would be best for the money to go to someone in need. What they did, the paps made money, but not very much money, because the photos were diluted. However, the paps still made trump change from it. I think it would be best for these people to use the money for needy causes.

Again there is video of the photogs taking James Wilkie’s picture a week or two after birth. Flashes are going off left and right. The photographers were 3 deep. One of the cutest points of the photoshoot is when Matthew raised his finger to his lips to ask the photogs to be quiet. You can probably find the video on the web since it has been shown many times on tv. Gwyneth stood in front of photographers days after given birth for them to get the first pictures of Moses then she was PAID by People Magazine for exclusive photos soon after. Google is an amazing tool. You can find out the exact birth dates of these babies and when the first photos were released. Try it sometime. It will keep you from making incorrect assumptions.
