Lucy Lawless: Celebrity Duets

Fox claimed the top spot last night in the coveted 18 to 49 age group thanks  to Celebrity Duets.  But wasn’t it a snoozefest?  Did anyone else catch last night’s premiere?

I was really into it when the gorgeous Lucy Lawless (Xena: The Warrior Princess) kicked off the night singing to "Time, Love and Tenderness" in a duet with Michael Bolton.  But it was all down hill from there… performance after performance.  Watch the video of the Lucy and Michael duet below!  More pictures in the gallery!

Did you enjoy last night’s episode?  Will you be following this season of Celebrity Duets?

yeah, i didn’t even finish watching the episode i was so bored. although i was happy to see marie osmond! but i like donny a lot better… without him, she’s not as fun. so yeah, i’m probably not going to follow this season.

I enjoyed the whole show…Jai rodriguez and Alfonso were the best

I watched. It was the worst thing I have ever seen. But I did watch the most of it because it was so ridiculous . The stars should be ashamed to have been a part of this. It was worse than a car wreck.

Heck! I’ll watch it just for Wayne Brady. Love that guy!

The singing was only a tad bit better than that Kevin Federline. Much like reeeaally boring American Idol auditions. Jai Rodriguez was the best.

I watched the show & thought LITTLE RICHARD was a freak of nature! Nothing he said made sense at all! Marie Osmond was the best judge giving constructive critisism to at least help the singers do better the next time! Will have to see how it goes next time!! :O Oh & Chris Jerrico (sp?) got kicked off! Good choice! He was terrible!! The best is Jai & I think he will win!

Jai was good… but it’s a little unfair considering of all the so-called contestants, he’s the only one that’s sung live in front of huge audiences when he was once part of the cast of Broadway’s "RENT"… and heck, even Jai sounded better than Michelle Williams.

I LOVEEE Lucy Lawless and I think she did an amazing job! The reason I will be watching this show is all for her

Jericho stunk!! This guy is in a band called "Fozzy". They have had at least two cds out. Who dressed these people anyway? Jericho’s outfit on the first song he sang was a throwback to the late 80′s early 90′s.

it was pretty good!

Yes, I will watch the rest of this because there’s no money or recording contracts involved. Just their egos!! ROTFLOL!!Lucy Lawless & Alfonso might have a fighting chance to stay in this. But I still say, let’s just watch those egos & IDs!

huh? What? There were people besides Lucy Lawless? Reality TV blows. Lucy rocks all and I watched her singing her little heart out with that voice – ooooh, that VOICE – and fast forwarded through the rest. BOR-ING!And to the comment above, Lucy has also sung live – she played Rizzo in "Grease!" on Broadway and Dorothy in "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" in Seattle. Plus she has two musical episodes of Xena under her belt. The woman was training to be an opera singer before she became an actress. All hail the Flawless One! Battle on Lucy!
