New Brad Pitt 'Babel' Stills

Here are some old and some new stills for the upcoming Brad Pitt drama, which tells interwoven stories surrounding a gunshot. Set in Morocco, Tunisia, Mexico and Japan, Babel opens in limited release on October 27. Directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu and co-stars Cate Banchett and Gael Garcia Bernal. UPDATE :: Donald Trump gave Brad Pitt a nod in his latest blog entry, “Brad Pitt and Marriage“:

I know a lot of men who are perfectly happy being single. They have every excuse in the world why they’re not ready to get married.

I thought I had heard everything until I read why Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie say they won’t be tying the knot anytime soon.

In an interview in the current issue of Esquire magazine, Brad said he and Angelina won’t consider getting married until – quote – “everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able.”

Obviously, Brad is trying to be a social activist and make a point about dropping the restrictions on who is allowed to get married and who isn’t in this country. Or at least that’s what he wants people to think. Maybe he’s just come up with an excellent way to stay a bachelor.

It makes him look really concerned about the plight of other people. Yet at the same time, he doesn’t have to get married. This guy is smarter than I thought.

He’s portraying a 42 year old married man here, which is his actual age.I’m not sure though that men with the same age look that old.But he’s so younger looking in person and he’s hot at 42!

He us so completely gorgeous. Looking forward to this movie… Sorry, Cindy, but he looks about 25 in reality. Just so you know…these are stills from a movie where he plays a 52 year old man. Even at that, he looks fantastic.

I heard from their press conference last Toronto Film Festival that Iñarritu mentioned he’s playing a 42 year old married guy and he even commented that it’s the first time Brad is portratying a character at his same age. It’s possible I just heard it incorrectly but I’ll look for the media file to hear them again.

From an article about Babel:

It showed a hyper, frenzied, salt-and-pepper-haired Pitt, playing, as Inarritu described, “a 49 year-old…a guy who’s been through some tough times.” The footage showed Pitt’s character, who is called Richard, helping to carry his wounded bleeding wife (Blanchett) through the streets of a small Tunisian village.
