'The Prestige' Stills

Here are the latest stills for The Prestige starring Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale, Scarlett Johansson, David Bowie, and Michael Caine. I have super high hopes for this film, so I hope it doesn’t disappoint!

The Prestige was directed by Christopher Nolan (Memento, Batman Begins) and is out in theaters on Oct. 20. Check out the gallery for all the pictures… you won’t want to miss it!

On a slight tangent, Scarlett Johnasson recently said in an interview (Allure November 2006, on newsstands Oct. 24): “Josh [Hartnett] is very sweet. He’s a good boy. A great person. I’m very lucky and I’m very happy. Contrary to popular belief, I’m not promiscuous… There does seem to be a mistaken belief out there that I am sexually available somehow — which is not to say that I’m not open-minded about sex. Yet I wouldn’t say I’m a serial monogamist, either. I mean, I went through periods of time when I was, ah, single. But when I’m in a relationship, I’m in a relationship… I do think on some basic level we are animals, and by instinct we kind of breed accordingly. But as much as I believe that, I work really hard when I’m in a relationship to make it work in a monogamous way… I get tested for HIV twice a year. … One has to be socially aware. It’s part of being a decent human, to be tested for STDs. It’s just disgusting behavior when people don’t. It’s so irresponsible.”

I looooooooooove Hugh and Christian! I wonder how this film will compare to The Illusionist with Ed Norton. It should be interesting to see all the similarities and differences, especially being released so close together.

I’m so, so, so, so excited for this film (despite Scarlett cough). I love the partnership that Christian and Christopher have right now. Scarlett is a pretty smart cookie when it comes down to it.

I’m so looking forward to this, the whole cast is perfect and Christopher Nolan is one of best directors we have today. I’m sure The Illusionist won’t even compare to this.

I really liked Batman begins. The genre of comic-book hero in cinema is not for everybody, like semi-standardized production-line films, but Mr Nolan does the hero justice in a well thought-out and meticulously crafted film. There is no need for hesitation at the cinema, Batman Begins delivers.
