Nicole Kidman = Highest Paid Actress

Nicole Kidman sure had something to smile about at a press conference in Geneva earlier today. She topped The Hollywood Reporter’s Female Hollywood Rich List, fetching 17 million dollars per movie. Nicole beat out last year’s top money-maker, Reese Witherspoon.

$15 million for each film = Renee Zellweger, Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz placing third, fourth and fifth, respectively.

Rounding out the top 10 are Halle Berry ($14 million), Charlize Theron ($10 million), Angelina Jolie ($10 million), Kirsten Dunst ($8 - $10 million) and Jennifer Aniston ($8 million).

Nicole deserves every accolade. She is an astounding actress.

#1-9 I get. Even #9 is questionable.

bad sitcom one note actress = $8 million. Hmmm, the benefits of having been wed to A list Hollywood hunk cause even when he leaves you , you can still milk the contacts he gave you and parlay that into $8 million dollar career.

Can I get a Jenny Craig amen?

None of these chicks movies make that much dough. Hollywood need so me fresh talent. (excep AJ she rocks). This is ridiculous. And Jennifer Aniston 8m are ya kiddin me, I would not pay to watch her screw, unless it was with Brad Pitt and that will not be happening again. He got a woman this time not man face.

These rankings are based on what their highest paid movie is. Nicole’s is her new one with Daniel Craig at 17 mil. Aniston had that string of flops at about 8 mil a piece. I think Angelina would have ranked higher if she had done more movies. She had some slack time there. Next year should be interesting if Julia throws herself back into work and Nicole goes for another high paid big budget feature. I don’t think Aniston after her flops will command anywhere near 8 mil. I think Angie will command more.
Just my opinion.

Nicole may not be “Julia Roberts” but she sure as hell beats her in the acting department so I have no problem with her being number 1, although I really thought Reese had this locked up. But good for you Nicole.

But like, I’m shocked to see Renee Zellweger on that list at all, let alone so high.

That’s because Jennifer relied on her co-stars to carry the movies. Jim Carrey, Vince Vaughn , Will Ferrel.

If you replaced Jen in those movies with any other actress, it wouldn’t not have made a lick of difference. She never carried those movies. When it comes to a movies where she is promoted as the star of the movie like Derailed and Rumor Has It, the movies are box office failures.

Angie was promoted as the star of Lara Croft and she carried that movie on her own. She’s also a three times Golden Globe winner and and an Oscar winner. That’s the difference.

all her movies from last year was a big hit @ box-office…..

Yeah, she can never match Robert’s box office record and that’s bec. of her taste for edgy projects (Dogville, anyone????)

But here in Asia, she can sell and the film distributors certainly knows about it.

HERS was the only face that appeared in the promotional write-up for the movie “Happy Feet”. And its been doin really well at b.o. even against the Bond movie.

Always been a fan ever since that Letterman quip”Now I can wear high heels”‘and when she hired S.L. Stein (hope I got the name correctly) as her divorce lawyer…….it was like a corporate warfare??????……smart move!!!!!!

Now,she’s the highest paid actress!!!Wow!!!!!!!!!Congrats!Ms.Kidman

Aside from the one on no. 10 spot, most of this top 9 actress had international appeal and market. which make them worthy.
But where are Cate Blancheth and Meryl Streep. they were paid less than the less talented sit-com actress ? UNFAIR !!!

Yes #10 should be changed. There are other notable actresses that should take that spot, and I’m very surprised Aniston made more than them.

I love Nicole Kidman. She’s an outstanding actress. And I’m so impress that she is very selective in her roles and her roles demand a well rounded actress. She is this and more. She is one of the most diversified actress in Hollywood and I’m glad she is recognized for her hard work. I wish her well in future endeavors and in her personal life.
I’d like to see Cherlize Theron move up in the ranks. Not only is she gorgeous, but very talented. She can carry a movie on her own, even wearing prosthetics.
I’m suprised Halle Berry ranked higher, I guess Halle has all the marketing deals from makeup etc.
Not surprised with the other ranking. Talented women.
I do like Julianna Moore, Kate Winslet.

Could you see Maniston doing any of the movie roles Nicole or any of the other actresses on the list? OMG, it would be hilarious cause she would SUCK SO BAD! But her movie roles could have been done by anyone out there EVEN AN UNKNOWN actress and probably made more money at the box office!
