America Ferrera Makes ‘Ugly’ Beautiful

Ugly Betty’s America Ferrera celebrated being February 2007’s CosmoGirl magazine’s covergirl at a NYC luncheon earlier this morning. The 22-year-old Golden Globe-nominated actress couldn’t be happier about her show’s success as she shared earlier today on Good Morning America: “We’ve worked so hard, and now we can celebrate it together. It is a wonderful cast and crew and show to be on. Everyone is so excited.” But she’s still got one more semester left of college! “My mom reminded me just the other day [that] I still owe her my diploma,” she said. “I have a semester left.”

She doesn’t even look that ugly on the show. She is not even ugly! that is the point,
if you are not a model you are considered fugly by HOLLYWOOD dumbass producers.
Producers who have not 1 creative bone in their fugly bodies and ugly attitudes. That’s the real
ugliness in HOLLYWIERD.

That show is such a farce. Selma Hayeck has to go on and flash her breasts for ratings, yeah that’s really promoting a healthy attitude for young women.

-hey “oooooooh” at least what salma did worked, people are now watching the show & hey you gotta do what you gotta do right?? & i’m glad that there is finally someone who looks normal & is the star of the show. not some anorexic blonde!! which is what producers think they need when it comes to fronting a show THATS what she is PROMOTING to young women!!

-i admire the fact that with all the success she’d had, that she still thinks school’s important & is about to finish college unlike Ms. lindsay lohan who apperrently believes partying is more important then getting a higher education

She looks great! Love her on the show. She’s actually quite a nice looking girl, but they “ugly her up” on the show.
It’s so sad that the media portrays that glasses and braces = ugly. Actually, people wear glasses because their eyesight requires it and wear braces because they want their teeth to eventually be gorgeous and alligned, NOT because they wanna emphasize how ugly/geeky/nerdy they are. I can assure you that most human beings are not born with a perfect set of teeth.
Sorry, had to vent there.
