Scarlett Johansson is Cinderella

Would you help Scarlett Johansson find her missing slipper?

Scarlett Johansson helped kick off Disney Park’s Year of a Million Dreams celebration by portraying princess Cinderella. Celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz shot this on the steps of the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial on New York’s Riverside Drive with Disney World’s Cinderella castle digitally imposed behind her.

Says Scarlett: “It wasn’t hard to coax my foot into the iconic glass slipper; it’s every little girl’s dream, mine included.”

Says Leibovitz: “Scarlett Johansson couldn’t wait to put on that tiara.” (The Harry Winston 62-karat creation is valued at $325,000. The glass slipper was made for the shoot by Steuben.)

Beyonce and David Beckham were also tapped to portray other fabled Disney characters. Beyonce takes on the role of Alice from Alice in Wonderland. David Beckham plays Sleeping Beauty‘s Prince Phillip.
