    Shauna Says:

I am sure many celebrities look at these gift bags with a skeptical eye since they have to pay taxes on the retail value of them. -And the product prices are inflated so that the retailers can maximize their tax write offs.

Most of the products are probably just given away to friends and family, but I am sure some of the goodies are kept and used. ;)

    Observer Says:

Why would normal people care about this?

  3. 3
    LV Says:

I wonder do they get these gift bags instead of money for performing or is it just and added bonus?

  4. 4
    Chloe Says:

DAMN, they get ALL that? Wtf.

I’m thinking they get this stuff instead of getting paid, LV. But I’m not sure.

    creativegirl Says:

this is how the rich get richer.

  8. 8
    LV Says:

I think they get way too much stuff.

    Jwelz Says:

this gift bag sucks compared to what other events give out. What I’m wondering is how all that crap fits in a gift BAG? how do they take it home, in like packages?

    mickster Says:

why doesn’t a decent celebrity (rare, i know) just say NO to this pile of free horseshit?

the rich once again get free stuff? huh?

talk about greed and arrogance. the rich get more and the rest of us? eh, they’ll sing a song about us and expect us to think they’re great humanitarians. while they go to the bank listening to their new ipods and drinking coffee from their free coffee machines. what a bunch of *****.

    Leo Says:

All of “Hollywood” is full of ****~
Most “stars” CAN’T read or do math…trust me I know…
Maybe they should give them books to read and flash cards to learn the A-B-C…

They should all follow in Anna’s Nicole’s footsteps…O.D. and well… you know the rest

  13. 13
    Flash Says:

Wow…justs twist the knife of reality to know that none of us regular people will ever get any of this free, unless we pull a Christopher in Sopranos and cold-**** the recipient of the swag bag and run off. I love the fact that they now get taxed on all this, because I guarantee this swag is about a quarter of my yearly earnings. Sad…

  14. 14
    Marie Says:

Can I get some of that?… I heard on the radio that the gift bag is worth $45,000. How disgusting. I could use some of that. Check out my blog http://www.freewebs.com/helpus2haveababy

  15. 15
    Nicole Says:

Worse, not all nominees get the good gift bags. Vocal of the year, yes, best gospel or classical, or whatever, no.

  16. 16
    oursocietysuck...butiwouldntliveabroadw/o$ Says:

this is such a sad display of why everyone wants to be famous…me not excluded…unless theyre my mother who, honestly, if the american economy depended on her, we’d all be broke and wearin very, VERY, inexpensive outfits from salvation
    -i’m materialistic!

  17. 17
    todd shriber Says:

don’t the stars have to declare the gift bags as income? i swear i saw something about that on cnn before the oscars last year. – todd shriber

    fashion_16 Says:

    superfan Says:

    Jen Says:

These prizes are great. If you do yoga, you should check out yoginistyle.com they are awesome. I wish I could have gotten a gift box, just for those pants.

  21. 21
    Not Envious Says:

This bag looks terrible and trashy, hummm, did they consult brittney? must have. and how about the males? looks like the only thing useful for people like jt et al is the guitar. sad.

  22. 22
    Freaky Says:

It’s not like they ask for free stuff. They are given free things. These companies want us average people with less money to see these rich stars with their products. It’s not really a gift bag like Fashin says. It’s tables of crap they get to choose from. Cause of course it makes since to give the rich free things!

  23. 23
    wow Says:

Wow, if they get all that stuff, maybe I should become a singer, lol.

BTW, do they have gift bags the size of cars or something? How do you fit all that crap into one measly gift bag?

And did anyone else notice that all of that stuff was geared toward females? The only stuff that men would like are the guitars and maybe the coffee machine.

  24. 24
    maria Says:

I’m selling a gift bag from rolling stones party on ebay go check it out

  25. 25
    Erin Says:

    C’mon now….use your head’s peeps…

The companies give these away in the hopes that the celebs will use them, love them and talk about them. It’s awesome advertisement for a company if a celeb says I use their (the company’s) “such n such”. Hello. duh.
