OlderGwyneth, Going Once, Going Twice, Sold!
Gwyneth Paltrow hosts a diamond jewelry auction at the St. Regis hotel in New York City for an American Cancer Society benefit reception on Thursday night. The 34-year-old Oscar-winning actress raised money for “Hope Lodge,” which provides free housing for adult cancer patients undergoing treatment. Since this was a charity event, I will refrain from making comments about her outfit. But here’s what Gwyneth said at the auction:
- On making it to the auction despite a little cold because of her 10-month-old son Moses: “It’s for a really good cause. This has been planned for a long time, so I couldn’t take a sick day today”
- On her father, Bruce, dying to throat cancer in 2002: “My life has been affected by cancer in so many different ways. When my father had cancer, he found it so isolating. It’s very difficult to empathize with it if you haven’t gone through it.”
- On her film career: “I haven’t done a real part in a long time. I’m going back to work now. When I had kids, I just wanted to be with them. [But doing one movie a year] makes you more interesting as a person and wife (to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin) and mother.”

She needs to start dressing for her age. She looks so washed up. I used to like her until she seemed to get on her soap box about everything, now she’s tries to portray herself as Mary Poppins…..practically perfect in every way!!!

If you can’t say anything nice you shouldn’t say anything at all the saying goes. For that reason, this is what I have to say:

She’s starting to annoy me…
Can someone please hold her down and shave that hair off her head? It’s the only way she’s going to cut it. Her face and body are just too old and worn (even at her age) to carry that look anymore. What is it with this people like Paltrow, Courtney Cox, Sheryl Crow, Jennifer Aniston, etc and the long ass hair? They’re too old looking to wear it like that.

At least she has her priorities straight. What a great wife and mom. Luv her. Kind of like Angie’s philosophy.

That’s her real hair–the lengh is part of her contract with EL. As for the lipstick, I’m not liking it, but I think she’s so pale because she was sick. I don’t look so great in any kind of makeup when I’m sick either. The outifit is great. Good for her showing off those great legs of hers! Go Gwyneth!!!
What’s most important is that she attended a benefit. Some of you people need to look at the bigger picture.
She looks like a vampire (only with bleached blonde hair) – who knew that Mac vamp matte lipstick was coming back in. Oops – it’s not? Mmkay.
The long hair. It’s kind of a Maniston thing. That’s the only thing ‘youthful’ about them and they THINK they are working it – so they keep it the same exact way. With the Rapunzel locks Gwynnie can try to believe she’s 21 again, or even 31…you know…Angelina’s age. Muahahaha.
Truth be told she would have looked soooo much better if she had just set that hay on some big a s s hot rollers and had a lot of curls and waves.
Somebody mentioned Cox – I’m starting to understand why this woman let Maniston eclipse her for so long despite Maniston being homely and less talented (which I know isn’t saying much when talking about Cox) — Courtney has been hiding her light under a bushel. She’s infinitely prettier than Maniston, and i just saw an interview of hers on some show…Access…Inside whatever (talking about what else? Sigh… the Maniston kiss…can they just give it up already – it ain’t gonna save that cr*p show…whatever). Anyway – SHE (Cox) is actually the one with the beautiful hair…it was sooooo friggin’ shiny, it looked like liquid glass – her hair is like really straight and fine, and she’s taken to wearing it just long and straight (like ‘The man’)….I couldn’t believe she was hiding that beautiful hair all those years on friends….believe me, people would have been imitating her hair if she had tried stepping up her game.
She looks just like Blythe Danner…only the mom is prettier. ITA lipstick is the wrong color and the hairstyle is so Alice in Wonderland. She needs a makeover. But then, she’s just a shy English Rose…all natural and doesn’t need any improvement (so she thinks!).
With the exception of the dark lipstick I think Gwyenth Paltrow looks great. She’s always leaned towards the dark lip shade and I don’t understand why, but besides that she IMO looks more fit and attractive than I’ve thought in a long while.

Very sad that someone in the selling industry – that is after all what hollywood is about, selling images – & who is doubly in the selling industry as the ‘face’ for Estee Lauder, could look so tranny!
As has been said, that lipstick is so bad – makes her look like she has no upper lip – just way too harsh. But for me what is worse is the solid brassy blonde hair – it is just too harsh for her skin tone. She looks so much better with the natural look e.g. honey-blonde streaks. Now she just looks like something off the Rocky Horror Show!
Which is too bad, cause she used to be able to look sublime so effortlessly.
What is up with that aweful hair as of late, it does nothing for her.
