Actresses and sisters Penelope Cruz and Monica Cruz arrive at the Los Angeles premiere of Monica‘s new film The Inquiry (L’Inchiesta). Penelope, 32, and Monica, 29, rocked classic black dresses at the premiere, which took place at the Mann Chinese 6 Theaters on Tuesday night.
The Inquiry is scheduled for a nationwide April 6 release. Check out this brief synopsis of The Inquiry:
A beautiful, young Israeli woman, TABITHA (Monica Cruz), awakens to find her mother being stoned by a group of people for cheating on her father with a Roman soldier. In lower Germany TAURO leads an army of Roman troops to a victory over a Germanic tribe and claims an enemy warrior, BRIXOS, as his slave. The earth rumbles and lightning strikes during the battle and at the same time, rattles the palace of the great Roman Emperor, TIBERIUS.
Tiberius tells Tauro that he must travel to Jerusalem to find the truth behind the legend of a man, Jesus of Nazareth, who supposedly rause from the dead. When Tauro comes to Jerusalem, he encounters Tabitha and her grandmother, saving her from a petty mugger. Love sparks between the two, but she is forbidden to touch, much less speak to a Roman.

I just got back from the world premiere of Monica Cruz’s new movie and here’s the lowdown: It sux ass!!! Dear God in heaven, keep this girl in Spain, or mainly on the plane, because she needs to keep her day job. People were laughing out loud during this movie, it was so bad. Straight to DVD my friends. Fellini must be popping a wheelie in his grave.

They are both incredibly beautiful! It is cool to see there’s no rivalry between them but mutual love and support. Anyway Monica is a star in Spain, so she is not that much in Penelope’s shadow…

It is noice to see them have that bond. It is Moinca premeire, I would think the spotlight would be on her , not her sister. Penelope handled it beautifully and did not take the spotlight away from whom it belonged.
I’m from Spain, and I can tell you that Monica is in every sarao, that means, event that is held in Madrid. She’s not a particular good actress, but she’s a great flamenco dancer, well reputed because of that. Is a bad copy of Penelope, she shines in every single appareance, with a kind of AURA that Monica will never get ever, never…

Although I haven’t been able to see any pictures on this site lately (something wrong with the computer I’m using–the way it works with this site), but I checked Monica out elsewhere on the Web (never knew about her existence before today): these are the most beautiful sisters I’ve seen! Seems to me Penelope is beautiful as well as anything else, while Monica is just absolutely CUTE.
Monica is more famous as a dancer. Spaniards are some of the most beautiful looking people walking this earth.
