Rodrigo Santoro is King Xerxes

Rodrigo Santoro is King Xerxes

All the hype surrounding Gerard Butler‘s performance as King Leonidas in Frank Miller‘s 300 has overshadowed Rodrigo Santoro‘s fantastic performance as the evil Persian King Xerxes. Check out the amazing transformation Rodrigo made from Brazilian surfer hottie to the 9-foot tall oddly feminine Xerxes.

Rodrigo, 31, is one of Brazil’s most sought-after young actors and has had notable movie roles in Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle and Love Actually. Most recently, he washed up on the shores of ABC’s hit drama Lost.

Check out the video below of Rodrigo‘s appearance on today’s edition of Good Morning America!

300 opens in theaters (including IMAX) nationwide this Friday, March 9.
