Hey Jared, do you know if Amanda Peet going back to the studio to work means that Studio 60 will actually be back on the air at some point? I was under the impression that NBC took it off to put The Black Donnellys on. I had heard/read somewhere that maybe they might bring Studio 60 back so they could close out the show. I hope they can at least close out the show…or maybe someone else (a cable channel) will pick up the show. It’s absolutely hysterical…great show and a shame the ratings are so bad. Thanks! Donna

donna – i read on eonline that if black donnelly’s does as well as studio 60, that s60 will probably be cancelled (b/c it’s more expensive to produce). but i’m pretty sure they will finish the season b/c i believe nbc bought a full season already. i really want it to get renewed though! i refuse to watch BD b/c i don’t want it to replace S60!!

Hi HR, thanks for the info. I thought NBC had bought the entire season’s worth of episodes of Studio 60 and even though the rating weren’t that good, I’d read the network had committed to the season. So I was surprised when BD was suddenly put on in place of Studio 60. I so agree with you, I hope the show is renewed. Studio 60 and Ugly Betty are the only two network shows I watch (or in Studio 60′s case, “watched” is more accurate.) Studio 60 is wonderfully well-written and acted and I am STILL laughing about the twist they did on Gilbert & Sullivan’s “Very Model of a Modern Major General” on the second show “The Cold Open.” How funny was that? Maybe we’ll get lucky and Studio 60 will be picked up by a discriminating cable channel, huh? Take care! Donna

When will the networks leave sharp, intelligent, witty, and culturally engaging shows alone? How much more dummying down can we take? Studio 60 deserves some PR and for the network to quit taking its pulse every week. Let it ride out its full season and maybe give it a few pitches on late night, etc.
