It wasn’t just us. The newly single actress says her appearance at the Golden Globes in January was a chic coming-out for her. “I felt like I looked different than I’ve ever looked,” Witherspoon tells April’s Harper’s Bazaar, on stands March 27.
The Oscar-winning actress and mother of two has taken some fashion hits for dowdy choices. She credits Nina Ricci designer Olivier Theyskens for the fresh look that has evolved since she and husband Ryan Phillippe split in October. “I’ve used a stylist before, but these days I’m kind of just going with Olivier‘s taste.”
Also contributing to her new sleek style: closet purging. “I recently put a big pile of clothes on the floor of my closet, and I looked at a lot of the stuff and thought, ‘That’s not me at all. What was I thinking?’ (For Legally Blonde) I went through a pink phase like you wouldn’t believe. Then there was a (Italian label) Marni phase when I was doing Sweet Home Alabama that was out of control.”

those are awful pictures, they dont look like they are from a high end fashion magazine. the close up is very unflattering and the other one is very weird! those pictures really dont do her justice. at all.
I have to disagree, I think she looks beyond gorgeous! Like a princess.
I think she looked gorgeous at the oscars, but these pics make her look worse than reality by a longshot.
Definately not the best pictures I have seen of her, but she seems to look better in movies and at award shows than in photos. Either way — Reese is adorable.
I love the colored cover but not the one where she is sooo far away!!! What were they thinking?

It’s always been pointy. It’s almost her trademark.

its always been pointy, look at older pics of her, its just more apparent when she laughs and smiles and probably because shes lost some weight off her face lately. that and they probably edited that picture alot. its not like she can help it, i think shes beautiful. pictures of her untouched, like all award season and in candids, are so beautiful, but pictures in a magazine where they try to make you look your best are awful.its almost like it was intentional. the magazines done a bad job picking that as the cover. shes such a pretty girl.
Not the most flattering pictures but the orange one is the worst she looks scary. The Pink dress is pretty but her head looks gigantic and straight on isn’t the best choice for the chin/nose combo either. She looks better at an angle.
I think she’s lost too much weight. I’ll always be a Reese fan though. :)

I love Reese and these pictures do her absolutely NO justice. Its photoshopped horribly (notice the hole in her hip in the fulllength pink dress picture?), her possition looks unnatural and uncomfortable, they made her look bad. She is a beautiful woman and these are some seriously disappointing pictures from Harpers.

not the best cover shot but pretty none the less. i LOVE that she’s gotten quite thin.
Gotta admire her for having a lot of sense. She married young, became a mother of two, and kept it together for years. She’s an excellent role model.
I, personally, think these are some of the most gorgeous pictures of her! Maybe she has lost some weight, but she doesn’t look unhealthy yet, and though I’ve never been a crazy fan of hers, I have to admit she’s quite pretty. Oh well, each to his own, I guess.
