OlderJennifer Hudson is GLAAD
Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson presents the “Excellence in Media” award to her heroine Patti LaBelle onstage at the 18th Annual GLAAD Media Awards at NYC’s Marriott Marquis Hotel on Monday night.
“I didn’t know you were this nice,” Patti told the future Grammy winner, noting she’d never met her before their joint appearance.
A clearly moved Jennifer responded with: “You are who I idolize.”
The duo then brought the house down when they launched into their a cappella rendition of “Nobody Knows The Trouble I’ve Seen.”

You just know these two blew the roof off the sucker. All that diva-ish on one stage. There were probably some fainting and shouting going on that night. Patti is the original diva, Jennifer can merely learn at her feet.
Good to se Patti “washed-up” LaBelle being dug out of the grave for an awards show that most nominated never attend…
