Grey's Anatomy Spin-Off Spoilers

Private Practice, the working title for the Grey’s Anatomy spin-off, is kicking off with it’s very own 2-hour Addison spin-off episode in May. The subsequent two episodes of Grey’s won’t feature spin-off star Kate Walsh .

The Private Practice cast known so far: Kate Walsh (Dr. Addison Montgomery), Timothy Daly (Pete), Taye Diggs (Jackson), Amy Brenneman (Violet), Chris Lowell (Dell), Merrin Dungey (Naomi), Bellamy Young (Kathy) and Jane Clark (Nurse).

Previous TV show affiliations: Lowell (Veronica Mars), Brenneman (Judging Amy), Daly (The Nine) and Adelstein (Prison Break).

Grey’s Anatomy episode “The Other Side of This Life” airs on Thursday, May 3 @ 9-11PM ET/PT on ABC. Here’s are some known tidbits:

Kate Walsh just filmed this Porsche scene on Wednesday, and there’s already a promo picture for it!

The bridesmaid dress scene was filmed last week for Katherine Heigl, Sara Ramirez, and Ellen Pompeo. Promo pic here.

Meredith gets slapped by someone close to her (from the pictures, it looks like her father). Sniff.

Addison will be reunited with her god-daughter, daughter of Addison’s best friend (Merrin Dungey)

As Meredith continues to bond with her stepmother, Susan, Cristina reluctantly plans her wedding with the assistance of her mother, Helen, and Burke’s mother, Mama Jane.

Derek must perform emergency surgery on Ava/Jane Doe, as Alex continues his unfailing bedside manner with her

Addison takes temporary leave from Seattle Grace and makes a road trip to Los Angeles in order to visit some old friends from medical school.

Cristina doesn’t want a wedding. She was probably talked into having one by her mother or Burke’s. But most likely her mother. Cristina’s mother is pretty much the home decorator obsessive housewife Beverly Hills type. Unless…you haven’t watched it since the beginning of season two.

I have my doubts about this spinoff working. Another bad omen for the spinoff, they hired Taye Diggs, he would most definately be the weakest link. He can’t act at all.

But i have a question today is 3 episod of the 3 season and i know that meredith choose derek!!But i read that in the episod my favourite mistake they arent happy togehter!!
Can everyone tell me if they happy and together??

wow wow wow… just seen the spin off for the maybe upcoming show, private practice, and I just most say, I love it… GA is good, but I think the new is even better, and kate walsh is just to good to be true, just love her…

I love Addison and thought a spin off would be crap and Greys not the same without her but having seen the backdoor pilot it looked great. Good cast choice, great chemistry. I would definitely watch it.

I SAW THE BACKDOOR PILOT THAT AIRED WITH GREY’S, I THOUGHT IT WAS GREAT. T.V. IS SO CRAZY THOUGH, IT WILL DO WELL …AS LONG AS THEY PUT IT IN THE RIGHT TIME SLOT. THE CAST AND CONCEPT ARE UNIQUE FROM GREY’S BUT ADDISON WILL FIT JUST RIGHT.

Well I gotta say I trully appreciated the beginning of that spin-off – the characters are all uniques with great quirks and personnality (all screwed up like we love) and Kate Walsh was just brillant (one time happy, nerdy, sad, heart-breaking and downright crazy)! One bad point though: Daly’s character and his sub-story line of his dead wife …COME ON! Over used much? I think that, with the right exposure the cast could do great audiences, really.
I really look forward the airing of the first official season…one last thing, if one the executive from Grey’s anatomy/and or Private Practive read this: COULD YOU STOP WITH THE DAWSONIESQUE PARODY OF THE MUSIC (great music) COVERING THE DIALOGUES? Man, what’s up with that? Don’t get me wrong the music is always top choice and can help with emotions but seriously? All the time? SO LOUD? Guys! Stop it already! You’re going to disgust me with those shows!
