OlderSanjaya Reads 'Top Ten' on Letterman
American Idol‘s latest cast-off Sanjaya Malakar reads off The Late Show with David Letterman‘s Top Ten list on Monday at the Ed Sullivan Theater in NYC.
The “Top Ten Things I’ve Learn from American Idol” list from 10 to one:
– The camera adds 10 pounds to your mohawk
– Work hard and make sacrifices, you can finish in seventh place
– It’s very important to “keep it real, dawg”
– I should have gone for the Immunity Idol — oh wait, that’s “Survivor”
– On camera, Simon is a bit nasty, but off camera he’s a total jerk
– Voting for yourself 100 times an hour causes some wicked carpal tunnel
– When you forget the words, just do this … “OHHHHHHHHHH”
– Honestly, I thought I was auditioning for “Are you Smarter Than a 5th Grader”
– Nothing
– America loves performers with bad hair — right, Dave?

The boy has no talent, he can’t sing or act. The only thing he has going for him is his hair and smile. His hair rocks, but the boy can’t sing….

He’s cute but more importantly he’s very poised for a 17 year old kid. He had a meltdown during his run on Idol. He’s the lead in his church choir. You have to know how to sing to be that.
I wish him all the success of another 7th place Idol finisher, Jennifer Hudson. Hudson had major ghettotude problems on Idol that they called her Boomquisha. Her voice was not for AI and many times not good at all. I cringed everytime she was to perform but I was a fan and felt she would find her way eventually. A year can make a big, big difference.

I’m someone who didn’t watch American Idol but I definately have a crush Sanjaya, too. He’s adorable. Thanks Jared for keeping me posted on his every move.
I hope Sanjaya remains humble & true. He is adorable. I am just waiting for someone to pluck him from the vine & develop him into an incredible singer & performer. Love ya, Sanjy!!!!
