Ryan Phillippe wears his support for the nonprofit Children’s Defense Fund in West Hollywood on Wednesday, the day before touting aid organization Africare at his fave L.A. resturant Dan Tana’s.
I think it’s very thoughtful , he seems to be a nice guy
Sweet. Keep it up Ryan. TY Jared.
His shirt reminds me of Ryan Goslings when he wore a Darfur t-shirt to MTV and Teen Choice Award.
I love that he’s sporting these two shirts with web site addresses on them – hey, if you’re going to be snapped by the paps everywhere you go, you may as well advertise for a good cause! Too bad more celebs don’t do this… Paris, Lindsay & Brit: are you listening???
Reese has been very involved with the childrens defense fund for many years. she has regularly participated in voluntary fund-raising events, contributed financially, and donated all of the proceeds from the Legally Blonde Barbie Dolls and meets with each year’s college–scholarship winners. she also attended the 2004, 2005 and 2006 Annual Beat the Odds Awards. its nice to see that Ryan is supportive of the charity his soon to be ex wife is involved in.
This guy is delicious damn reese take him back and keep him on lock and key, for the kids sake.
So sweet. I love Ryan.
Lookin’ hot, and with a purpose.
Losing his hair? Same hat worn all the time… Hmmmmmm
I don’t care for Ryan. I don’t recall him showing actual support for these organizations before (wearing a shirt doesn’t count). Reese always showed up alone to those events and she’s been involved in activism before she became a Hollywood star. I trust her motivations, not his. For all we know, he’s just trying to be in on the whole “socially conscious” chic.
He usually looks a kid to me for some reason. He looks sexy growen man here. I love the hat.
Hey, let’s give the guy some credit when it’s due. Reese joined the organization first, but for many years both Reese and Ryan have been major financial supporters of the Children’s Defense Fund. He’s mentioned their support in several interviews, and there are photos of them jointly hosting fund-raising events for CDF. Not to take away from her efforts, but Reese just got more publicity for it (proceeds for the sale of Legally Blonde dolls donated to CDF, etc.).

100% agree. Why did he never show up to Childrens Defense Fund events?
Oh well, at least they’re not shots of him throwing burgers at people.
I’m guessing Reese got more publicity because she actually made the effort to attend their annual events.
I think Reese deserves a lot of credit. She’s on the Children’s Defense Fund’s Board of Directors. But that shouldn’t negate Ryan’s contribution just because they’re divorced. From Ted Casablanca’s Awful Truth, October 2006: “At the Children’s Defense Fund’s Beat the Odds Awards last Thursday night…Reese Witherspoon and hot hub-unit Ryan Phillippe were the honorary co-chairs of said goodie event… Reese-doll came solo…Ryan was busy filming a movie in New York.”
too bad he got the web adress for CDF wrong. It’s childrensdefense.org . Good for him though, more celebs should keep up the trend. Just make sure you get the web adress right !
