Paris Hilton Splits with Publicist Elliot Mintz

As a result of the guilty verdict she received in an LA court on Friday, Paris Hilton has parted ways with her long-time publicist, Elliot Mintz.

In Touch Weekly reports the 26-year-old heiress blamed Mintz for her mistake, telling the judge her publicist had told her that her license was only suspended for 30 days and that she could still drive for work-related matters.

But prosecutors disagreed. “This is about the fault of Ms. Hilton,” said Deputy City Atty. David A. Bozanich. “She knew [she couldn't drive], and she did it anyway.”

Paris is planning to appeal but 45 days could easily turn into nothing. Just ask former Lost star Michelle Rodriguez. Because of jail overcrowding, Michelle‘s 60-day sentence turned into just four hours.

    Paris Hilton’s Publicist: Elliot Mintz

Congrats Mr. Mintz, you took a wealthy hotel heiress I did not know existed 5 years ago, and today thanks in large part to you — the world know her as a silly hard partying, vapid, stupid, lying, law breaking, sex tape ho’ who is going to jail!

I’m sure his phone will be ringing off the hook.

He has so much to offer his clients.

Nope. The tramp is expected to serve the full 45days. After the Michele Rodriguez incident the overcrowding rule was rescinded.

AND ALL OF THIS IS HER FAULT! NO ONE ELSE’S. IT HILARIOUS AND SHE DESERVES NOTHING BETTER.

^ That is so funny. I never thought about it but he is responsible for everyone in the knowing that this waste of space exists. It’s sure to bring him clients because if he can make a no talent like this famous, he could do wonders with someone who actually has talent.

is it possible to be more stupid than Ms hilton? i mean come on: people in the whole world knew about the conditions of her suspension and she would like to make us believe that she didn’t?

  • Shoes4life

Maybe now that Mintz is gone she will finally be history.

Paris Hilton desereves whatever she is getting. You break the law, you break the law end of discussion. One shouldn’t be spared just becasue one if famous…..wait a second what exactly is she famous for!!!!!

    Sore Loser!!!

How good was it to see Hilton miserable and not grinning and posing for once. The only bad thing about her going to jail is we won’t get to see pics of her in prison issue couture. Maybe after 45 days, we might get to see her natural hair color though. I hope the shampoo is also prison issue and the toilet tissue is like sandpaper.

    this sentence makes me euphoric…

  • WTF

So now Paris is blaming everyone else just like Shitney??? They all need to grow the hell up.

  • Raichill

Paris needs to take responsibility for her own actions. I hope this a rude awakening for her and her ilk who think they are above the law. It’s time she stopped partying, spending money, breaking the law and knuckled down and got a real job after serving her time or at least do some honest charity work. I do partly blame her parents for over-indulging her.

I happen to not believe Mr. Mintz for a second that he did what he purports to have done. He’s essentially committing hara-kiri for Paris Hilton’s sake. His final parting gift as a publicist. I’m sure folks will be banging down his door after this…a publicist who lies for and defends their client to the end. Maybe he’ll start a trend that’ll end up with PR reps saying things like “*I* was actually the one who told Michael Richards to call those men the n-word…and I bought Lindsay’s coke, too! Oops!”

I normally would not bother to post on a PH entry, but I watched her on the news this morning claiming that she is a truth-telling victim of the ‘cruel’ justice system. She is 26 not 4. Good grief.

I have basically taken the stance that Paris is as famous as ‘we’ have made her, but I see that her value system is direct from her parents who have allowed her not to take responsibility for anything in life.

I hope she does serve at least half of her time for thumbing her nose at the law.

Free Paris Hilton! She was sentenced in excess of any reasonable punishment for her violation.

  • LOL!

    LOL! B**CH DESERVES IT!

I HOPE SHE STAYS THERE FOR THE ENTIRE 45 DAYS!!!!

IF THERE’S OVERCROWDING WHY NOT TAKE OUT THE POOR PEOPLE WITH STUPID SENTENCES…LIKE STEALING CANDY FROM WALMART???

  • JAIL TIME!

    DOWN WITH PARIS HILTON!!!

I am shocked that little Miss Paris Hilton would even consider asking the Governor of the state of California to give her a pardon for the 45 days in jail that was just issued to her. I know Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is a lot smarter than that. The information, in her petition that is posted on MySpace, is ridiculous. When did rich and famous people think they were above the law? If the general public drives drunk, we get busted, if the general public drives with a suspended license, we get busted, if we do anything that breaks the law, we get busted. It will be good for little Miss Hilton to sit in the slammer for 45 days and reconsider her ways. It is a shame that she gets so much attention, she is no body’s role model. I encourage everyone to write to the Governor of California and fax the letter to his office, the fax numbers are: 916-445-4633 and 213-897-0319, and encourage him to not even consider a pardon for this troubled child.
