Paris Hilton: "God Has Released Me"

Paris Hilton:

Paris Hilton called Barbara Walters from jail yesterday afternoon (prisoners must call collect), making bold statements like “God has released me” and “I’m not that superficial girl.”

On how she’s doing: “I’m hanging in there. I feel as if I’m a different person. I’ve dropped my appeal. I don’t want to cause any more problems.”

On not wailing, sobbing or screaming as had been described: “But I was not eating or sleeping. I was severely depressed and felt as if I was in a cage. I was not myself. It was a horrible experience.”

On how prison has changed her: “I’m not the same person I was. I used to act dumb. It was an act. I am 26 years old, and that act is no longer cute. It is not who I am, nor do I want to be that person for the young girls who looked up to me. I know now that I can make a difference, that I have the power to do that. I have been thinking that I want to do different things when I am out of here. I have become much more spiritual. God has given me this new chance.”

On her spiritual well-being: “My spirit or soul did not like the way I was being seen and that is why I was sent to jail. God has released me.”

On not being allowed makeup or lotion: “It doesn’t matter. I’m not that superficial girl. I haven’t looked in the mirror since I got here.”

On the possibility of being let out early: “I feel that the purpose of my life is to be where I am. However, usually with a situation like mine, the person serves 10 percent of their time. I have already served 30 percent of my time. I hope if there is overcrowding in the jail, I would be let out before someone with a much more serious crime.”

On learning her lesson: “I will never again have a drink and drive.”

Still pimping the media. Like I said, this is just the beginning.

  • African Girl

Goodness Gracious! Is she for real?

  • Lulu.B

    this is laughable..

a person does not change after 1 week..

  • rue

get a life she didi not murder anyone
    working that media.
lets see if she attends church afterwards.
    shes a joke

  • Christy

Is there really nothing that will kill this virus? Can’t we all please just GET OVER her so she will fade away…

Also: as if drinking and driving is the only thing this girl has done that has made most everyone hate the very sight or mention of her…and associate her with every kind of excess and sexually transmitted disease you can name…Those jokes don’t come from public perception of you being seen as person who drinks and drives and thinks they are above the law, Paris. You’re really not getting th big picture here if you think THAT’s what people can’t stand about you.

STOP posing that stupid little “Paris” pose for every camera that you see! The best picture ever taken of you was the one of you crying in the back of that police car. Grow some humility…some human decency…some morality…some world awareness (NO…not awareness of world’s awareness of YOU!)…but of the world around you…IT DOESN’T REVOLVE AROUND YOU and your little priviledged life.

  • lol

She’s been in the slammer for how long? And she’s a changed woman already. We will see. And ofcourse she hasnt looked in a mirror, she doesnt even have one too look in. ;)

Im sure she will get out and go back to being Paris in no time. Lets face it, being a decent citizen is’boring’. XD

She dropped her appeal because she knew she didnt have a chance. A judge put her in her place, and that confused and worried the sh!t out of her.

You notice how she claims she will never drink and drive? Uh huh. Nothing was said about not ever dancing on another table drunk off her ass though.

  • Scofield Lover

    how she speaks is different..

  • lol

And I told you, she just couldnt wait for that 6 mill jail story deal. And she didnt even wait to get out for it to happen. XD

  • Nando

    BULLSMACK!!!

We all know that as soon as Herpes Hilton gets out of jail, she’ll drink ’til she pukes, smokes some joints, snort some crack and gang-bang everyone!

    B1tch will never learn…

  • [Famous Fug Face]

Those aren’t paris words, she’s not that articulate.

Also: using God to pimp yourself to the media…Oh please, bitch. If you ACTUALLY believed in GOD…this is the last thing you’d do. I think it’s safe to say that God is not lmoved by what you say to Barbara Walters…or what she repeats to people who watch the view. I’m pretty sure that a true change in you and a real belief in God would be something between you and Him. Not something you’d use to rehab your hopelessly, utterly befouled image. I am not sure God responds well to prayers from those who ask him to help them emerge from hollywood scandals and terrible reputations “smelling like a rose.”

how nice that society maven babawawa rushes in to spin the hiltons’ p.r. catastrophe.

there was a funny column this past weekend by one of rupert murdoch’s bitches — andrea peyser, calling out hilton. what is so funny is that were it not for rupert murdoch, richard johnson and page six, that little skank would have been on her third divorce and disappearing to the hamptons for the summer. murdoch and his bitches gave hilton the tabloid covers and endless mentions that established her notoriety when she was a 16yo dancing on tabletops and flashing her cooch.

oh yeah, 3 american soldiers were crushed to death when a bomb was detonated at the bridge they were guarding in baghdad. perhaps babawawa could spare a minute for them.

    Barbara Walters needs to quit

  • LIYAH

FUNNY BUT IT DOESN’T SOUND LIKE HER AT ALL

  • Anon.

She is not for real. The only thing she said that might be true is that she won’t ever drink and drive again. She’ll hire a driver!
I wonder if Paris and her family have finally seen just how much people dislike her. Her lawyers or PR people have to know! Wonder if anyone spoke to her about her “image problem.” I predict she’ll try to be low key for a few days. Maybe even a week or two. Then the old Paris will be back. People don’t “change” in a few days. When with all her $$$ and influence she couldn’t get her own way, she cried and hollered for mom. And that was in public, in the courtroom. And there were pictures of her crying in the police car, no matter what she says now to Barbara Walters. If she really wants to appear different and develop a new image, she should start by not lying. When so many people know the truth, her lying makes her look even more stupid.

  • Dancer

It will be interesting to see if she can rehabilitate her image. It would probably go down as a classic case study in a Public Relations or Marketing course.

  • Indie

Doesnt Barbara Walters have better things to do than interveiw Paris Hilton? I thought she was a respectable journalist?

I guess Paris had no choice but to call her when Oprah hung up the phone.

A week is quite early to have made any real changes in a persons life, but at the same time it would be nice if Hilton actually tries to apply her words (or her reps words, take your pick) to her life and not just feed the public another bag of bullshit hoping that someone might actually buy into it.

Its possible she did say the above. Her spirit -or- soul? She clearly doesnt know what she is going on about. She should buy a book, or perhaps a bible.

Foolish little girl. God blessed her beyond the day she was born and she has been taking total advantage of everything ever since.

  • orphan

I hate to say this but surviving adversity can make a person a lot better. It seems in a way she NEEDED something like this to happen to change her life for the better. I am glad she found her heart. Something like this happened to me too (not jail though). I wish her the best.

  • orphan

In some way that was the problem with her life, she had no mounatin to climb, no difficulties to overcome, it was only when she was accidentally faced with reality of life did she change. She reminds me a little of Buddha, who changed to a spiritual path, after having being raised in the the life of a king, so he could find the truth of human existance amongst the suffering of the world.

  • Lolita

sorry to disagree with you all but i’m buying it!

i think this girl hit the nose on the head—-whatever image she has been cultivating for these years has become tiresome, even to her.
(I look at Pam Anderson–whom I happen to like as a woman, and wonder if her ‘look’ is as boring to her as it is for a lot of us. It must be so confining: to establish a persona in the media and then to completely evolve out of it but be stuck because you can’t sell yourself any other way: see also, Sharon Stone, Dolly Parton, Melanie Griffith, Janice Dickinson………….

Paris is 26 (a bonafide adult) and has become a media ‘darling’ thru accident and also CAREFUL CALCULATION. To exceed your 15 minutes of fame,ya gotta have half a brain.

she looks around her and sees what she and her contemporaries look like to the rest of the world–CIPHERS…..she can’t avoid noticing the new crop of nubile honeys in the clubs…..

then how can she not notice the impact of what someone, say like Angelina, has made with her lifestyle choices of late. Maybe, just maybe, she wants out of the rat race.
Makes sense: why would a chick with all her privelages and support systems be on anti-anxiety pills????

what a perfect opportunity to get herself off the hook and re-invent herself NOW.
its smooth, its clean and it sets her up for a grand future in the public eye with the bonus of a clearer conscience.

Even if its a lie–I’m convinced its a lie she can live with gusto.

  • NYC

Yet another PR spin. GAG!!! Please don’t print anything else about her. I can’t keep my food down.

after reading this I am glad she was sent back to jail. She really is something…

  • Dancer

    Lolita–
I think you have hit several good points in your post. You are right–she is 26 and getting a bit old for the club scene and Hollywood as the new crop of wannabees starts pushing and jockeying for position. If she wants to remain in the limelight, she is going to have to do something to reinvent herself. Several folks that know her have said that she is “smart.” Maybe she is and the last six years or so have been an act. She certainly must have some sort of brain to have extended her 15 minutes of fame into years. Maybe she has found in jail that her previous life covered a great emptiness in her and now she wants something more.
Whatever her choices–to return to her old life or create a new life–she is going to have probably one of the toughest roads of her life to travel.

    Excuse me? Come again???

Paris knows how to make the others go bananas! That’s for sure!!!

If she speaks like this after spending a few days in jail, I can even not imagine how she will be after she gets out; sainte?

    Gosh, she is so annoying.

Some gets rid off the drugs after spending few week is rehab, some stops drinking alcohol after spending few days in rehab, some starts seeing the real purpose of life after spending less than week in jail. If it’s so easy, why can’t they do it before?

  • mercredi

    This is some bull!!!

  • Sarah

Acting dumb was never cute. And she’s not acting dumb, she IS dumb.

  • natalie

Hahaha, this is a joke right?

The fact that the first thing Paris did after going to jail was calling Barbara Walters proved she has not changed a bit. She is still obsessed w/the attention.

Prison has “changed” her, my ass. She’s been in prison what… maybe 5 days total? Laughable.

  • Colbert ROCKS!

I guess she had to try something, she finally realized no one really liked the act she was playing. Good news is she has several weeks to create a new character, I am hoping for a comb of Jennifer Aniston & Angelina how kewl would that be?

  • hollyword

What!? That bitch is more evil than ever.

  • sparrow

wow if it only takes 5 days in jail to straighten out a spoiled bimbo like Paris Hilton then I say we should throw all the spoiled actors in Hollywood into the slammer. It’s cheaper than years of therapy and would keep us ‘peasants’ from having to listen to their nonsense.

  • Miss Information

This chick spends one week in jail and all of a sudden she has seen the light and has found the Lord. WHATEVER! She is just trying to hold on to the *few* remaining fans that she has left, by attempting to save face with this phoney appeal to the “public”. She isn’t fooling anyone with that “I’ve found religion” schtick! Get the f*ck outta here Paris!

  • sparrow

if 5 days in jail can straighten out that spoiled girl, then we should put every whiny Hollywood actor in the slammer IMMEDIATELY.

IA with you. She’s going to use this whole situation to make herself even more famous.

I don’t buy anything she said. I just don’t think she’s sincere enough to come up with those words. Maybe she was reading a script her publicist came up with? Lol.

  • Come on people

Give Paris a break. Please give her a chance to turn her life around.

    Everybody deserves a second chance.

  • PingyPonga

Wow..did she really say that? She sounds so “mature’

  • natalie

The only thing she “deserves” is a swift smack in the head. She’s had many chances to turn herself around and become a better person. She is still an irritating attention seeker.

  • poor paris

Ahem…what was it she said just yesterday? Stop paying attention to me and pay attention to the troops instead? Then she jumps at the first chance to do a media interview. Paris can’t stand not being in the public eye. She is 2 kinds of withdrawal: not just from her drugs, but not getting to dress up and do interviews. She is trying to communicate with the public every single day from jail.

Maybe her claim of ‘not looking in the mirror anymore’ has caused her to have amnesia too because she’s clearly forgotten about the statement written for her yesterday.

If there is a nuclear war, it isn’t the cockroaches that will survive, Paris will survive. She just won’t go away. ugh!!!

  • MCnNYC

GOD two HAS BEEN MEDIA WHORES BARBRA WALTERS
    AND PARIS HILTON.

Mommy Hilton set it up with her gal pal WAWA.

Will ABC just fire BaBBA and put us ALL out of our misery.

  • Maria

who would’ve thought Paris knows how to pray?!

  • Azure

    She changed her strategy.
But her goal is same – to be released sooner!!

  • Dirty Denise

Baba Wawa always has to sick her nose in every damn thing. Get lost Baba Wawa, you b*tch.

  • Jim

There is really no need to jump in to conclusion that all she’s said was a lie or another PR stunt, etc.

It’s still not too late to bash, trash, despise her if she really turns out to be the b**tch you think she is after she gets out. Well actually, I wouldn’t worry about that. The media are going to watch and judge her every step anyway. Then jump on the bandwagon and say, I told you so.

Let’s not forget, with God, nothing is impossible. We might think it can’t be done, but if the man above thinks otherwise, it will be done according to his will.
In the meantime, let her breath, she’s already in prison !

  • Dawn

I for one hope that Paris straighten her life out, because that stupid dumb act was getting really frustrating to watch. Sometimes I would wonder how can someone be so dumb. Sometimes you have to hid rock bottom to realized that you need to take stock of your life and do something about it. Not to sound religious, but I believe that God make things happen in your life for a reason. He always has a purpose. I truly hope Paris takes stock of her life, and learns from this. If what she’s saying is true, then I hope that she takes the time and use it wisely, do some soul searching. I know first hand about hitting rock botton. It’s not a good place to be. The good thing about being at the bottom is you can only climb to the top from there. I wish her the best of luck.

  • poor paris

You know Jim, I’ve tried to give her the benefit of the doubt before. But everything she says and does is inconsistent. When someone is finding God, they don’t necessarily have to diplay that they are doing so like carrying the Bible around in place of previous chihuahas just so the media can take a picture of it. Faith is personal not something you advertise like she has already tried to. I don’t trust her motives and I would not put it past her to use faith as yet another PR stunt. She has been hurtful to many people and had no regard for their feelings. Maybe I am just not as good of a person as you are-I can’t help but judget her.

excuse me PARASITE you were doing.Your spirit didnt like to see what you were doing or saying.

On not being allowed makeup or lotion: “It doesn’t matter. I’m not that superficial girl. I haven’t looked in the mirror since I got here.”
Thats why she had a hairstylist and makeup artist at her home the morning of court.

Who is this all consume selfish spoiled brat in love with herself thinks will believe her?Shes change in a few days.Yeah,Paris most all inmates change alledgely inside prison or before they serve time, they somehow find GAWD.We shall see,but I doubt it.

Please retire BABA Waters, annoying she is.
