Clive Owen @ Comic-Con 2007

Clive Owen plays it cool and sexy promoting his new Michael Davis-directed action flick, Shoot ‘Em Up, at the 2007 Comic-Con convention in San Diego on Friday.

Clive, 42, stars as Mr. Smith, a mysterious loner who teams up with an unlikely ally ( Monica Bellucci) to protect a newborn baby from a determined criminal (Paul Giamatti) who hunts them throughout the bowels of the city.

Organizers of the Montreal World Film Festival are trying to secure the world premiere of Shoot ‘em Up, which would screen at the end of August.

Shoot ‘Em Up will be released nationwide on Sept. 7.

That movie (or the clips that I saw) looked freakin’ awesome! Clive Owen does look impressive :)

I think from seeing what we saw at comic con that I have to agree with Clive, this material or the action sequences seemed to be pretty different and original! I can’t wait to see it in the theatre!

I’ve seen this film in a test screening late last year. It definitely lives up to the title, “shoot ‘em up,” from the beginning to the end. Not quite to my taste, but I’m sure many will love it. Stylized sex & violence. Clive is SEXY in the film though…
