"Kid Nation" Video Preview

One show you must must must watch this fall? KID NATION!

It’s a new reality TV series on CBS, which follows 40 kids (ages 8 to 15) over 40 days, to see if they can govern an entire city by themselves with no adults, no teachers, no supervision.

Settling in Bonanza City, New Mexico, the children will have to confront grown-up issues (set laws, run an economy) while coping with the classic childhood emotions (homesickness, peer pressure).

Variety doesn’t like the idea: “Kid Nation is only the latest program to use kids as fodder for fun and profit, which doesn’t make the trend any less disturbing.” But methinks this will be a ratings hit anyway!

It’s a pretty wild concept. Kid Nation premieres on CBS @ 8PM ET/PT on September 19. Watch the Kid Nation video premiere below and let us know what you think!!

hahahah $20,000….that doesn’t even pay for 1 year of school at the college I attend. Oh why won’t TV execs do a show on poor college students?? They could show the kids, like myself, who are putting themselves through college without scholarships, free rides, or the financial help of parents. Now that would make for some good TV. Or do a My Sweet 16 show on kids who are living on food stamps and living in trailers. You know, show the parents grocercy shopping for sheet cakes and purchasing them with food stamps. You got kids in this country bit*hing cause they got a Range Rover instead of an Audi…when there are kids out there that don’t get a car at all.
