OlderJenna Fischer Splits From Husband
The Office‘s Jenna Fishcer, aka Pam Beesly, has officially announced her separation from filmmaker hubby James Gunn after more than six years of marriage.
“We (James and Jenna) need to announce that we have chosen to separate. We are sorry for any pain this causes family and friends. The enthusiasm we have expressed for each other’s lives, spirits, and careers is real – we have been each other’s cheerleader and friend during the past six years and continue to be so now and in the future.
And a special note for our MySpace fans – We appreciate your support over the years, and would be overjoyed to have you continue supporting us both. You might be tempted to make one of us “feel better” by putting the other one down in a post. Please don’t – we still have the utmost respect for one another, and we’d have to delete you. We aren’t taking questions or doing interviews about this particular aspect of our lives. We’re also avoiding reading any press on the subject, so don’t send us any clippings or links about the split. Thank you in advance for respecting our privacy.”
This comes off as very surprising as Jenna, 33, has referred to James, 37, on her blog on multiple occasions, showing him both love and support. Is Hollywood to blame?

“She” is an Emmy nominated actress on the one of the funniest shows EVER, The Office, and “He” is the director of Slither.

me too!! i thought that too, as i was reading the article i was scared @ the same time excited to see if john’s name was attached to this @ all.. i never did like james tho anyway..in interviews he always seemed a lot more vulgar than jenna. but i did think they wud stay together.. =(
What a shocker! I hope they can get through all of this smoothly. What a shame :( They seemed very happy.
I don’t get the whole we-still-love-each-other-but-we’re-breaking-up-our-marriage thing. Makes no sense. Married couples who still have respect for each other and are each other’s “cheereleader” don’t seek a divorce. This is fishy.
People who still respect and support each other CAN and DO get divorced – it isn’t always ugly and I think this is the classiest celeb statement in a long time. They’ve been friends since childhood, and I love both of their work and think this is very sad. She recently had the broken back, and I think she leaned on the actress who plays Angela on the Office a lot. They may just have different needs in life and not work as each other’s one, but are still able to see each other in love. Like Brad Pitt saying in that interview how he loved Jen and all that. But even if you love someone, if you aren’t living your best life together, you can’t just stay together!
WOW! I am shocked, hope the best for the both of them and hopefully they will still remain friends. Didn’t see that coming, it could be something personal but it’s hard staying together whem fame comes in the way. LOVE JENNA!
on another note:I’m just saying, I know these 2 are going through a hard time but I always thought Jenna and John had great chemistry off-screen (and on of course). That is all I’m saying…
