Britney Spears VMAs 2007 Performance CONFIRMED!!!

Britney Spears VMAs 2007 Performance CONFIRMED!!!

This just in!!!!

“After weeks of mind-blowing media speculation, MTV confirms today that Britney Spears will be opening the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards. Celebrating her long awaited comeback to her fans, Spears will be performing LIVE her new song “Gimme More” from her highly anticipated new album due on November 13th. The star studded awards show will air live Sunday, September 9th at 9PM Live ET/Tape delayed PT.”

Jesse Ignjatovic, the executive producer of this year’s VMAs said:

“I guess, looking back, we’ve had a great history with her. Some of the biggest TV performances [of her career] have been at the VMAs. And fortunately, [when we approached her about performing], she was into it and excited to do it. I wanted her to come on and make a statement right from the very beginning of the show. And she’ll kill it. I wanted to start the show in a very big and dramatic way, and she’s the one to do that. She’ll captivate everyone, and set the tone for the rest of the night. There’s no one better.

“You can expect the things we want and expect from Britney — that will all be there. What I’ve seen of it is great. She’ll be dancing, performing, doing her thing. That’s exactly what we all want. Fans that are familiar with her performance on previous VMAs will not be disappointed.”

Gotta say she has done a pretty good job of keeping herself right at the front lines of the celebrity obsessed masses. Lets all line up and see what happens, if its great good for her and if its not we will continue to line up for her future train wrecks.

“She’ll be dancing, performing, doing her thing”

Well, at least he didn’t lie and say she’d actually be SINGING. It will be good to see her, though. I don’t particularly care for her music, but I’m looking forward to seeing if she’s still got it.

I won’t be watching. Brit is so over exposed. What has she done latley of any significance?

Her performance with no doubt suck seeing that she can’t sing. What’s the point?

Her first album was pretty decent – studio enhanced of course. All hype, no substance is what’s happeninng now in her singing career.

This is a great opportunity for her…She can prove that she is STRONGER THAN YESTERDAY!….maybe there can be a surprise like Britney&Justin duet…

Good for her. Hope it goes well. Everyone should remember that if we all had our every move recored and photographed “we” probably wouldnt look like saints either. Everyone makes mistakes…granted some more than others. I think Brit is a sweet girl and has a good heart….she is way overexposed and grew up way too fast. I hope she gets on track soon for her childrens sake. I wish her all the best.

This is why I gave up on the VMAs a long time ago . . .

i wonder if he will be fired after this show because I can’t see how it’s going to do anything BUT BOMB!!@!!

its funny how some people say they are tired of watching and reading about Brit as most of your refer her to “a wreck” but you still invest the time to write about her. I love her performance and do care for her music so we are going to kill it at the VMA’s

YA’LL ARE A BUNCH OF HATERS! DAMN! DESPITE EVERYTHING SHE’S ENDURED FROM THE PUBLIC AND LIFE GENERAL. SHE’S STILL DOIN’ HER THANG AND NOBODY WANTS TO GIVE HER PROPS.
EVERYBODY IS SO QUICK TO JUDGE. I WONDER IF YOU WOULD BE ABLE TO KEEP YOUR COOL WITH ALL THOSE PAPARAZZI IN YOUR FACE 24/7…YEAH I DON’T THINK SO.

BRITNEY IS GONNA ROCK THE VMA’S THEY KNOW IT. SHE KNOWS IT, AND SOON THE WORLD WILL TOO.

CATCHYALATER!
HAHA!

KUDOS MICHELLE AND CHARITY!

LOL!!!!

She’ll be partly dancing and doing lots of lip-syncing.

I’m guessing her main goal with her upcoming VMA performance is to try to let the world forget how horrible of a mother she is by putting a “Britney” performance.

Thumb up Thumb down 0

At least they aren’t misleading and telling everyone she’ll be singing… God let there be a malfunction…

Thumb up Thumb down 0

I try so hard not to talk bad about people but pleeeeeeease! I would much rather see a comeback from the great Whitney Houston with that angelic voice. We don’t need to see Whitney dance b/c she would give us goose bumps with that God given voice. Now back to the useless, untalented, undeserving “poptarts” of the world – please VMA – loyal viewers are begging you to cancel her and come in with a real bang. If Brit lip syncs I will vow never to watch another VMA show again. I hope VMA producers are listening to the audience. She needs to work on her mothering skills not her “fake” voice.

Thumb up Thumb down 0

soooo people are excited to see a loonie lip sing? hmmm. how exciting? NOT! gimmie a break its fricken Britney Spears! Tell me Tina Tuner is gonna perform and maybe Ill pee my pants but a talent-less chick? Nothing special.
