OlderHugh is a Hands-On Dad
Hands-on parents Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness take their two children — son Oscar, 7, daughter, Ava, 2 — to play on the playground at Bronte Park is Sydney, Australia on Sunday. Earlier in the day, the family grabbed breakfast at “Swell Restaurant” also in Sydney.
Just yesterday, Ava got a shoulder ride to The Entertainment Quarter in Moore Park from her Aussie dad. Hugh took his cute kids for a spin around the merry-go-round (pictured).
Hugh, 38, is expected to start filming Wolverine in Sydney, Australia starting in November. The superhero flick will be directed by Gavin Hood (Rendition, Tsotsi).

And in between these family outings, Hugh emcee’d the entertainment program at the APEC dinner for the world leaders meeting in Sydney. Love this guy!!

Kids are adopted. Hugh has said Ava is half Mexican and half German and Oscar is biracial, a mix of a bunch of stuff – African-American, Caucasian, Cherokee, and a few others that I can’t remember. Hugh disclosed this in an interview once. They adopted after two miscarriages and failed IVF but regardless, they are their kids.

Thanks Jared! I really needed my Hugh fix badly. So much bad celebrity behavior out there, I needed to see a really good guy!!!! And he is looking soooo hot and sexy!!! I love to see this gorgeous man playing with his wife and kids. They always look so happy, proof that you really can have it all.
I really appreciate the fact that Just Jared doesn’t identify kids as “THE ADOPTED CHILD.” The kids are now Hugh’s kids, Tom Cruise’s kids are Tom’s kids. They are no different than any other kids.
We can all tell where the boy came from.. I know the boy is biracial and all, but I see a black kid.. I hope he understands himself.. Cute kids.. Great father and mother!

No Linda, having worked with disabled children, I can safely say that Ava does not have Down Syndrome. She does however have almond shaped eyes (just like her mother…isn’t that interesting?) and so do kids with Down Syndrome. But Ava has none of the other features.
And don’t judge Deb by some paparazzi shots when she’s schelping around. I’ve seen her up close and dolled up and that woman is beautiful; gorgeous skin, beautiful features, a smile that lights up a room and a shapely figure. She’s a knockout and once you meet her, you understand why he fell head over heals for her. Some of you make judgements based on very little knowledge.
Hope other don’t do the same to you.
