OlderHugh Jackman is a Nature Boy
Hugh Jackman enjoys some father-son bonding time with 7-year-old son Oscar in Bronte Park on Sunday. The nature boys climbed a tree and then relaxed on the grassy slopes of Sydney, Australia.
Hugh will be starring and producing in the musical-dramedy called Viva Laughlin this fall. The show was adapted by from the popular BBC British serial, Blackpool. The Viva Laughlin premiere airs on Sunday, Oct. 21 @ 8PM ET/PT on CBS. Catch the special preview Thursday, Oct. 18 @ 9PM ET/PT.

Jared, you must love Hugh. He never really gets many comments but you still put him on your site. I just wanna say thanks. I think the’re a wonderful family and I believe that both spouses are incredibly talented.
Bronte is quite suburban and it always surprises me how they just seem to blend in. I love this about them, they are such typical laid back Australians. Love your work Hugh (and yours Jared).

Interesting how Hugh and his kids always seem to be spotted when they’re out in public, and they’re out in public together a lot.
I’ve no doubt he’s a good dad.. the interplay between him and his adopted children seems very genuine. But it’s the frequent public exposure he puts them through that makes me wonder why he does it?
They look great together. He’s really a good dad. And Martha, I don’t think they want the atention. He is going to play in a couple upcoming movies so the media follows him everywhere. That’s my guess.

#7 Martha – first of all, why must you refer to Hugh’s kids as “adopted”? That’s unnecessary – they are his kids, period. Secondly, why do you question that he and the kids are out in public? If you have kids, do you not go out in public with them? Hugh and his wife are living a normal life – as normal as a celebrity can have – and they obviously love doing things with their kids. So they go outside to play. Sure beats plopping the kids in front of the TV or video game all day every day.
#7 – Frequent public exposure? So you never left the house as a kid? What they’re doing is completely normal. Now if he forced his kids to cover their faces every time they’re in public like Michael Jackson does then I would be concerned.

#7, They are in Australia not the USA. I don’t think there are many photographers out hunting celebrities. You may see Nicole Kidman on set, Russell Crowe at a football game (he owns a team) or Cate Blanchett at a premier. I don’t think the celebrities expect to be stalked here.
…and we do family stuff outside.

The little boy is starting to look like his dad – copying facial expressions actually changes muscles in the face and that’s why adopted children start to look like their parents. Very cute family.

Even when they lived in New York ( especially when Hugh was doing the Broadway TBFO run), he took his son to all kinds of normal pursuits ( Circle Line tour, Rockefeller Center skating rink, planetarium, Central Park, Knicks game, museum Halloween parties, even a ride on the subway, etc.). They were even spotted roughing it up as boys ( having a newspaper sword fight) on the streets of Greenwich Village ;-)

LOVE THIS MAN!!!!!!!!!!!! He is, by far, my #1 favorite actor and stage performer. He has the rare, classic talent of the old entertainment legends – who use to have to be able to sing, dance, act, do drama and comedy…he has it ALL. His off-screen/off-stage personality only makes him even moooooooooooore dreamy! What a sweetheart. He was so cute on the Punk’d episode too – did you see it – when his friend’s home was supposedly burning to the ground because of him – he is a good sport. ALL the women want him – and I like he tops the most wanted list for the gays too :-) can’t blame them. GO HUGH!
