Older'Grey Gardens' For Drew Barrymore
Here’s one new shot of Drew Barrymore running for cover on the set of Grey Gardens in Toronto, Canada on Friday. She plays ‘Little’ Edith Bouvier Beale while Jessica Lange reportedly plays “Big Edie’.
Synopsis: Based on the life stories of the eccentric aunt and first cousin of Jackie Kennedy (both named Edith Bouvier Beale aka “Big and Little Edie”) raised as Park Avenue débutantes but who withdrew from New York society, taking shelter at their Long Island summer home, Grey Gardens. As their wealth and contact with the outside world dwindled, so did their grasp on reality. They were reintroduced to the world when international tabloids learned of a health department raid on their home, and Jackie swooped in to save her relatives.

Hopefully Drew has finally found the perfect part for herself. She’s starred in too many rom coms that have done nothing for her career.

I’ve seen the real documentary “Grey Gardens” and thought it was great, very interesting. I guess when the documentary was made back in the 70′s it was a cult classic. Drew looks great, very much like the real little Edie, but actually better. She is cuter. The real Edie is not so cute. Request the real documentary “Grey Gardens” from your local library system and watch it. It is hilarious, at least it was to me.

So glad Drew is doing something dramatic, agree with Regina. I think she has the talent, but has seldom had the opportunity to show it. She should relate to someone who needed to withdraw from family and fame.

I would love to see Drew make a transformation into a dramtic role. Really become a Barrymore. From the few dramas she has done, she is wonderful. I think she needs to give her career some variety and kick the comedies for awhile. I love this girl- she’s adorable and I hope this turns out well for her!
