Kanye West recently issued a statement regarding the sudden passing of his momager, Dr. Donda West.
Donda, 58, passed away on Saturday reportedly from complications of a tummy tuck and breast reduction, which may have included a heart attack, pulmonary embolism and/or massive vomiting. Here’s the statement Kanye issued:
“Kanye West, his family and friends would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of support and kind words that have come in from across the country since the death of his mother, Dr. Donda West.
“After working in higher education for 31 years, Dr. Donda West and Kanye West co-founded the Kanye West Foundation with the mission of helping to combat the severe dropout problem in high schools across the country. The first and signature initiative of the Kanye West Foundation is Loop Dreams. Designed to capitalize on students existing interest in hip-hop, Loop Dreams challenges students to learn more about what’s behind hip-hop culture in order to help them develop skills, express themselves creatively and be empowered.
“In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Dr. West‘s name to the Kanye West Foundation/Loop Dreams Teacher Training Institute. Those donations can be made by visiting the Foundation’s Web site, www.KanyeWestFoundation.org or by mail at Kanye West Foundation, 8560 W. Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood, CA 90069.”

Hold on Kanye!!!!!!!!!! we are with you. It must have bees so awful for him to lose his mother, and even more in those conditions. Shocking is not enough said, dying from plastic surgery in 2007 is unbelievable. Again, condolences KANYE.

this is a great example for all idiots out there who turn in to plastic surgery to feel better about themselves and pretend to be someone they are not.

The problem is not plastic surgery, it is going under the knife without taking proper precautions and passing preliminary health tests. Plastic surgery can be a wonderful thing because as we all know the world (including those bashing procedures) judges everyone on looks whether we will admit to it or not. First impressions are, unfortunately, often important.
In terms of some one dying from plastic surgery…um, it is surgery. Although it is often viewed in a more positive light, there are always risks which cannot be predicted – esp. with more invasive procedures.
I feel for their lose and think that the situation is being handled very well. Pragmatically, money will be able to have an impact on the lives of others where as flowers would have gone to waste. Good work.

Kanye, I am so sorry for your loss. I know exactly what you are going through, I just lost my mother unexpectly so i feel your pain. But believe it or not you will be ok in time. I will take a long time though.
I’ve never really liked Kanye West. But I am really sorry for the loss of his mother, especially in the way that it happened. I’m sure it is a horrible shock. I lost my father very unexpectedly so I feel his pain also. There’s lot’s of people praying for you, Kanye.

What a tragic loss of an “educated” woman who, obviously, had everything with the exception of truly loving herself via her physical body?! Sometimes a person can be too willful, i.e. another cosmetic surgeon only two weeks before told her that he would not perform surgery on her due to her health history and, yet, it seems she willfully sought out somebody who would and (though we don’t know the entire story) it would appear she wasn’t even kept in a sterile environment for a period of time after surgery?
May this be a lesson to all women who are unhappy with their bodies….all these surgeries are MAJOR and INVASIVE.
Wishing Kanye West comfort in his time of loss and great happiness in the future. ….a wonderful mother, father, spouse, or child is the most heartwrenching of all perceived losses.

The man has lost his mother. The idiots who still use this forum and occasion to attack him are heartless and pathetic. Each of us has a bond with our parents regardless of what face we show the public, our friends, work etc. Be human for once.
god dont like ugly and these people who get on here with this i never liked kanye crap are going to get their payback. kanye dont care whether you like him or not, he is going threw the death of his mother and hes has my deepest symphathy, damn who dont like who. this world is so full of hatred and its just simple if you dont like a person or a race of people stay the hell away from them. plain and simple.
May God comfort you. I know it seems like there is no future but this will get easier to cope with. I lost my mother in 1997 the same exact way.Keep your head up and my prayers are with you.
