Sarah Jessica Parker, husband Matthew Broderick and their 5-year-old son James Wilke leave their New York City home to spend their Thanksgiving Holiday away from the Big Apple.
The Sex and the City star carried a yellow Bee Movie bag with James‘ things in it, including Transformers toys. In her other hand she had a “girl toy,” a black quilted Chanel leather handbag.
Earlier this week, SJP (pink dress) filmed scenes from the Sex and the City movie at the Diane von Furstenberg store in NYC. Pimp her pink bejeweled cell phone and her killer heels!
Also this past Wednesday, Project Runway contestants designed an outfit for SJP‘s affordable fashion line “Bitten” at Steve & Barry’s. Designer Victorya Hong‘s winning dress is being sold in stores starting today!

I like her and her acting but still can’t figure out why how she became the “fashion icon”.
Didn’t people start her calling her the icon after sex and the city? I though it was Patricia Field was the costume designer and the stylist for that show..
But then again I can’t understand nicole richie as a fashion icon either. before rachel zoe (sp?) she was this punk/rock girl with absolutely no fashion sense.
Oh dear lord, everything about that outfit screams “hooker!”.

she has always had style in my opinion-Not drop dead gorgeous, but works with what she has!
no offense but some Americans tend to use some of the terms loosely like “icon” and “legend” and “genius”.
SJP might have style, but that doesn’t make her a fashion icon.
SJP might have a STYLIST :P I believe her personal style pretty much stinks (and she is ugly, but let’s not get into that)
SJP is not a fashion icon her character in Sex in the City was. Just like people apply all of Rachel’s qualities on Aniston.
I think she’s a pretty woman with a good sense of style.

i disagree with the hate, i think she’s a fashion icon. yes people started to take notice because of the show and yes pat field had a lot to do with it although it’s common knowledge that sarah jessica often collaborated with her. but outside of the show, at awards shows, events, and on the streets of new york, she’s shown a brave sense of style, albeit not as in your face as carrie’s, nonetheless, she’s a trendsetter, remember when everyone else started wearing tea length dresses a few years ago after she had appeared at numerous events wearing them? chanel, prada, alexander mcqueen dresses being worn by starlets now, whereas before sarah jessica (who inspired these designers at one point) you had all these okay but not so fashion forward pamela dennis, halston and randolph duke frocks that the so called stars only knew of. she’s not the most attractive woman alright, but she’s fabulous.

I don’t understand the hate on SJP…this is a woman who came from such humble backgrounds…her family was on welfare and she always talks about family values…because of her upbringing, she is such a down to earth woman today…her family is 1st in her life…she never gives off airs…doesn’t appear pompous or full of herself…so I don’t really understand the dislike…out of all these fake wanna-be celebs, she is one of the most genuine…I think people love to find fault in everyone…no matter who they are…but let someone criticize Angie or Brad on this site, and full attack comes on…give the woman a break…she’s a good mom and a nice person…jump on the people who deserve the actual criticism…

oh, she’s funny and witty and can clean up really nicely. It’s her personality and playful sense of style that makes her appealing and attractive to me-I respect that ALOT more than alot of the pretty bimbos with stylists who get more beauty kudos. And the girl is in her 40′s now-come on, she’s working it out still!
