Heath Ledger as the Joker will grace Empire Magazine‘s January 2008 issue, as revealed by JoBlo.
Empire Magazine has slowly been revealing the same picture (without the distracting text) at their “He is Coming” countdown.
The film also stars Aaron Eckhart as district attorney Harvey Dent/Two-Face, Maggie Gyllenhaal as assistant D.A. Rachel Dawes (formerly played by Katie Holmes), Michael Caine as butler Alfred Pennyworth and Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox, the CEO of Wayne Enterprises.
The Dark Knight opens in theaters nationwide on July 18. Bigger cover pic inside…

He did a good job in Brokeback Mountain… I hope he can pull it and impress is in this new role. I like Paul Bettany or Hugo Weaving for the joker part. I dont think Heath can make us forget Jack Nicholson and the thought of Bale making out with Maggie gives me the heebie jeebies.
I can’t believe they got Maggie Gyllenhaal to play Rachel, I don’t like her at all and might ruin the movie for me! Bale is so hot, I hope there won’t be any kissing scenes between them or else I’ll vomit.

maggie gyllenhaal may not be pretty but that babe can certainly act. she’ll be great too, definitely a more talented actress than that fake, katie holmes (not even in the same league in terms of acting skills).
Im after the movie for Christian Bale not Heath Ledger.
Katie has it all especially class unlike Maggie who only does pornographic flicks all the time,she is not pretty but the saddest part she is a nasty human being. For me you are worthless if you got a bad personality no matter how ugly and pretty you are.

When i heard heath was the joker a few years ago i thuoght he wouldnt be able to pull it off. the i got to thinking he ha a great joker smile. And the image they went for looks great, so do all the sound bites of heath.
