OlderKiefer Sutherland Folds Laundry as a Prisoner
Kiefer Sutherland spent his first full day on his 48-day sentence on Thursday folding jail laundry, according to People.
The 24 star had cornflakes for breakfast, a turkey sandwich for lunch and chicken a la king for dinner. A LA KING!!!!
“[Kiefer's a] model prisoner,” says a spokesman for the Glendale City Jail. “[But] there’s no way he’s getting out early, unless a judge orders otherwise, which is highly unlikely.”
“He’s not happy to be here,” Officer John Balian added. “But you can tell from his demeanor that he’s sorry and takes responsibility for what’s he’s done (DUI and a probation violation)… But we don’t put murderers or rapists who are awaiting trial in the same area as a guy convicted of a DUI.”

This is an example of celebrities not being treated like everyone else. KS shouldn’t have to have his every move in prison and their perception of his opinion on being there reported to the press when there’s nothing he can do about it. I think he should be in jail for what he did but this isn’t right by the jail system.
The daily reporting on the story will likely die down. There’s far less drama here than Paris Hilton’s jail visit. In the end I suspect he will come out the other side of this an incredibly motivated artist, ready to do some of the best acting work. It’s an unfortunate way to get a lifetime of character study under his belt – his own and others’ – but that is what he has been handed.

Kiefer needs to serve his time. He has the potential to kill on the road while drunk! It is no joke.

Is he supposed to offer to perform Hamlet for the other inmates? Keifer screwed up repeatedly and he’s getting off lighter than anyone else convicted of 4 DUIs.
