Katie Holmes and cute-as-a-button daughter Suri, 19 months, spend Friday afternoon Christmas shopping at the Grove shopping center in Hollywood.
The mother-daughter duo was accompanied by a bodyguard who stood on the lookout for paparazzi. The bodyguard stood watch with a towel and large golf umbrella in hand, ready to shield Katie and Suri.
The pair shopped at Pottery Barn Kids, Baby Gap, and the American Girl doll store.
On Wednesday, papa Tom Cruise took Katie and Suri to The Spice Girls concert in Los Angeles.

looks to me like no one around was really interested or recognized the beard and her fake daughter. She shops, and shops, and shops, and shops, and still she is one sad, sad, sad person. She just doesn’t get it…..Katie thinks life is all about being able to shop, shop, shop.
Katie calls the photographers ahead of time. She must have learned it from Posh. She loves the attention.
Why is Katie looking so old in those pics? I suppose she has no make-up. And suri is not smiling anymore, I think she is now conscious of the paps, they should try to lesses her exposure.
