My uncle is a cameraman on the set of Seventeen. He thinks it is so sweet the way Zac gets text messages from Vanessa and calls her on his breaks. Said he’s always laughing when he talks on the phone with her. And Vanessa has visited Zac twice on the set and everyone thought she was super nice and friendly. I’m pleading with him to take me to work with him one day so I can meet Zac. Hope Vanessa will be there that day. They’re such a cute couple.

I have no problem with differing opinions when they are presented in a respectable fashion. Calling Vanessa ugly names or insulting our intelligence because we think she has talent and potential is not my idea of posting in an intelligent and respectable fashion.
Granted there have been a few times when people have offered criticism in an intelligent and yes, constructive manner and unfortunately some of us have jumped the gun and come down too hard on them. But for the most part its nothing but name calling and profanity. Why should we respect that?

Vanessa and Ashley went to the gym this morning for 30 minutes. Ashley picked up Vanessa from her house using her mom’s Range Rover. After the gym Ashley took Vanessa home, then she went home. An hour later, Vanessa’s mom drove her to a studio in Burbank, while Ashley went for a manicure. After that Ashley went to the mall to shop before heading back home. By the way, I talked to Zac last Saturday afternoon. He was on his was to Northern California to spend the holidays with his family. No word yet when he’ll be back. That’s all for now….

It’s by Pismo Beach near Arroyo Grande. It’s beautiful here and alot of people come here to hang out at the beach walks. The house that Zac was at was right on the beach. It was huge!

I noticed you were talking about Zanessa110′s chicken pox. I can remember having them when I was 7. No fun at all! My brother had them too and I can remember being smothered in Calamine lotion and having baths in this yellow coloured water which was supposed to stop the itching. I still have a few little scars from it, but it is better to have them when you’re young.

You may have been a little young for it Kristen. It was in the early 90′s when I was around 5 or 6 that the english version first came out. It’s actually a Japanese anime based on a manga about a group of teenage girls with powers who fight evil. As Audrey said, it’s pretty fly and a lot of people still love it today. If you check out ff.net, it has over 25,000 fanfics written about it (I was bored and browsing).

There are a lot of reasons people seem to hate Vanessa. Sometimes people like someone, but they don’t want to admit it. Or sometimes people want what someone else has, or are jealous of how they look or how sucessful they are, and they get mean about it. One is being uninformed, people who don’t know anything, but still want to judge. Another reason is anger, I think. People who are just mad look for someone to take it out on. And the best person/thing to take your anger out on is somebody who can’t fight back.
The biggest reason people hate Vanessa is because they think she’s stealing Ashley’s non-exsistant spotlight. And Ashley fans don’t want Vanessa to become more famous than Ashley is. At least half of the hatred shown towards Vanessa has to do with Ashley fans wanting the spotlight away from Vanessa and back on Ashley. It’s stupid, petty and immature, but, in all honesty, that’s just how a LOT of teenage girls are.
I think the hatred has little to do with Vanessa, and more to do with the people who are hating her. So I wouldn’t worry about it. Vanessa’s not the problem here.
Wel, the main character had very long blonde hair and yes, they had uniforms, I guess you would say, that they fought in so I think you’re thinking about the right one. shan, I beg to differ. I don’t think these two will be at all like B & L. They still have tight family bonds with their parents; B & L were thrown into an adult world by themselves WAY too soon,when they weren’t mature enough to handle themselves and make good decisions. Ashley is 22, and seems pretty mature already. She has already steered clear of the Hollywood trash. Vanessa still lives at home, and has her parents still looking out for her. I think parental guidance was really missing for B& L when they were in their late teens, or they just thought they knew everything, like kids think at that age.

The paps make me laugh at time’s I was wondering how long it was going to take before we had what seem’s to the usual comment when Zac works on a film with a young single female playing opposite him that he is now dating her and has dumped Vanessa, or that Vanessa has a problem with other female’s that he plays opposite.
Do people really think that they have such a poor relactionship that everytime another female appear’s Zac is going to go and do something, please.
They have proved to each other that they have trust with each other and also communicate with each other, they are both in the same buisness and know that at time’s you can’t see so much of your other half becuase of work and nothing else.
I for one am glad that Zac can get away to see his family without the pap’s being in his face and also that he and Vanessa can and I am sure do get to spend quality time together out of the public eye like any other couple they deserve that time together, and that does’nt mean they have broke up becuase we don’t see their movements 24/7 they’ll be plenty of photo opportunity for the press when they start filming HSM3 and when 17 come’s out at the picture’s, so in between that if they can have some sort of normal life as much as they can in their buisness then good luck to them.
All I’ve heard Michelle say is that working with Zac is lovely which I can imagine is true as he come’s across as very polite, respectful young man to who ever he work’s with.

They just wrapped filming the scenes at Santa Monica High School and are finished filming till the New Year. According to an inside source at Lola’s, the two were NOT drinking alcohol.

ellie, jb. yep it was zanessa! i was so happy, i was dancing around the store. i love jaws. and ive been to tthe ride, i always get scared when your in the dark garage and he pops out of no where. actually i was 13, when i found out it was a fake shark,lol. my favorite ride was this cool roller coaster that replaced the king kong ride. its called the revenge of the mummy.
Most definitely Jb! I know people who’ve gone diving with them in a shark cage but there is no way you’ll see me doing it. I’ve read too many news stories about surfers and swimmers being attacked to even considerit, there was an incident only last week or so on the Eastern coast of a surfer who was bitten.

Aw, you’re making me jealous! The only good theme parks we have over here are on the Gold Coast and I’ve never been there. There’s two water parks plus Movie World, Sea World and Dream World. It’s on my list of places in Australia I want to visit.
Just finished watching the Disney chan. HSM 1 and HSM 2 for about the 100th time. ha ha. My youngest got the Gabriella doll and a HSM microphone for Christmas so she was singing along to all the songs. Forget ABC’s and 123′s but give her HSM songs and she does’t miss a beat. That’s kind of sad actually.

Yeah it is sis. My parents have tried to make sure that we’ve been to a lot of places in our home state but outside of that, I’ve only ever been to a few towns interstate. Hell, I’ve been to more places in other countries than I have in the other states!

Grab a bite to eat in Little Italy, walk over the Brooklyn Bridge (if it isn’t too cold), go to the top of the Empire State Building, Museum of Natural History…which is across the street from Central Park. I recommend taking a horse drawn carriage ride through the park. Ice skate? lol

Oh, if you really want to, you can take a look at Ground Zero. There are some touching memorials there. It’s very somber though.

Hey everyone! Here I am at work as usual. Had a minute so I thought I’d pop in for a moment. Wanted to say thanks to Narf for defending me this morning with the imposter who posted as me after I had gone to bed. Frankly, I don’t think the person intends to impersonate us since they don’t try to comment like we would. They totally go the opposite way than what we would and they say ignorant stuff. It’s annoying for us but it’s like much of that kind of stuff on here—the person just wants attention. And the fastest way they can get it— and they know this—is to say something crude, rude, and socially unacceptable and put one of our names to it.
I’m sorry that some people get confused by it but overall we know each other well enough to know better and if we would have a question we have other ways of discussing it anyway. I even knew when zvkg changed her moniker even though she didn’t say anything about it because she has a certain way of posting, etc, but some people don’t pick up on those things. So, to keep people from being confused we have to say something which gives the imposter what they want, acknowledgment. grrrr…
Also, thanks for everyone’s concern for me, I’m sorry I missed jb. How do I feel? It depends on what hour you ask me! LOL It must not be a cold as sometimes I feel pretty good and then maybe the next hour my ear is plugged and my head feels like it is full of fluid or I can’t breathe because my nose is stuffy… It drives me crazy. Like right now my nose is stuffy and yet it wasn’t like that when I left home to come to work! I don’t think it is anything serious. But the hair falling out has me a little concerned…
I was in NYC in Dec ’05 with a friend and then again with hubby in Jan ’06. We loved it and hope to go back sometime. It was an exciting experience for sure!

You’re very welcome trooper! My little brother lives just outside NYC, so I have been there a few times and I love it! His office is actually at 7 Times Square, so if you walk by say hi to Reno dee’s little brother. LOL
Use the trains (subway). They are the best way to get uptown or downtown. I think uptown takes you further into Manhattan, and downtown takes you away. Once you figure that out, you’ve got it made. They are safe too, so you shouldn’t have to worry about anything.
Some advice from my brother, so you don’t look so much like a tourist. Down look people in the eye, don’t wear a fanny pack…lol, don’t listen to those people with flyers, keep your hand on your purse at all times (that’s just a safety thing that I do every where). Above all else, have a great time. It’s a great city!

That’s right narf! Trooper you should be able to get a good map from your hotel. Use it and ask the front desk for directions and write them down on your map. If you can’t find a police officer, ask someone in a business that is working…they should give you directions.

Yeah, I had my thyroid checked about 6 months ago. But that is a touchy subject between my doctor and me. As a kid I had to take thryoid medicine. Once I went to college I kind of got off of it for a few years. Since I have always had all kinds of symptoms that plagued me I finally went back to the doctor to have it checked out when I was about 30 and since then—dispite the symptoms that even the doctor can’t figure out—the tests always comes back OK. So, 6 months ago when the doctor wanted to do the tests on me I was resistant but finally went along with it and once again it came back OK. Mind you, my thyroid is like 3 times the size it is suppose to be but yet the tests come back normal so the doctor won’t give me any medicine. I sometimes wonder if anything goes normally for me! LOL
I finally made it back to LA…Halleluah!!! My flight was only delayed for two hours. That’s right folks nothing like spending your Friday night on the tarmack!!! Stlll the only saving grace was in the inflight movie. Can we all take a guess what it was??? You guessed it Hairspray. Who knew Zac could cure my fear of turbulance??? Just wanted to stop by and say hi. I hope everyone had a wonderful night. What is up with all these imposters????

You know what, I do see marketing when it comes to Zac and Vanessa’s relationship.
I see all the non believers of Zanessa trying to SELL the Idea that it can’t be true to not only themselves, but to those who do believe.
And when they find out no one is buying their theories they use everything they can find to make their pitch more appealing, even made up rumors.
They really should have done their research. If they had they would know that their fiction can’t be sold in a non fiction market.
So what they need to do is close up shop here and try going door to door in the fan fiction part of town. I think they may have better luck over there.
Long live Zanessa, they truely are meant for each other. There’s not enough money in the world to buy the kind of love we can see between these two.

Dee- It entails helping both make (hand sewing, making patterns for, conducting fittings…) and shopping at stores for all principle costumes. I already interviewed downtown at the Walt Disney building and I had a phone interview.I will know for sure by February of ’08 at the latest. So, unfortunately that is still a ways from now :(
Sometimes I feel that since that would be a job, I will have reasons to be asking the actors questions or being around them, so perhaps it wouldn’t be so ackward. Other times i think of how excited I would be, and how hard it would be to not show that excitement, possibly sparking someone to look at me funny. I do think they all seem extremely friendly. Then again, I don’t really know any of them. I was saying a few threads back that if some of you have facebook I’d post my pictures/chat on there about it with you all.
Mini me GO SEE IT!!! You will add it to your list immediately!!! It’s a remarkable movie. Someone on here told me that it was good, I thought it was zvkg. Maybe karen or steph mentioned it. Either way it was a truly tragic story, but the movie was so good. It paid attention to small details and that’s why it stood apart from other films.

i know! oh how i used to love this manga. I still have the japanese version of it. I even learned japanese just to understand it. and in the sidenotes you can read some translation for it. hahaha
and I really love how strong she is. and how she’s Guardian cosmos. ugh…the anime totally changed it! I was soo mad.

You’re right, I do wish the anime had stuck closer to the manga but I can understand that they had to draw things out longer so some changes were necessary but they could have at least stuck more faithfully to the characterisations. At least the japanese anime isn’t as bad as the english dubbed one. It was alright to watch when I was younger but after seeing some subtitled eps on Youtube, I can’t really watch the english version anymore, the japanese voice actors are far better.
kgg- you had asked earlier what we’re doing for NYE. I’m just going to a concert. I posted the link in #924 if you care to see who’s performing. I think it will be a different yet fun way to celebrate the new year.

yeah. in the anime, it really makes you wonder how Serena/Usagi became the queen. At least in the anime, you start seeing the changes…and how she deserved such title. Not only that, in the manga…she was the strongest soldier out there, but the anime totally killed that, and had they made her that way….it wouldn’t have made sense because of how the anime characterized her. She was soo whiny I couldn’t stand her. Then I read the manga and wow…I fell in love w/ it again.
ellie- I agree! I used to love the English Sailor Moon, that’s how I first heard about the series was when it was on UPN. But, my older sister bought the comic book series and the Asian subtitled movies and I liked them so much better. Serena is so whiney in the American version, and although she’s immature in the Asian versions, it’s not half the degree of brattiness they make her out to be in the US televison show.

Yeah, she is pretty whiny, though sometimes in the anime you can see glimpses of what she’s like in the manga. I guess I like the manga for the characterisations and the fact that it focuses more on the relationship between her and Mamoru and being the hopeless romantic that I am, I love that. On the other hand, I suppose the anime’s supposed to be more humorous and I have to admit it makes me laugh and the romantic parts do make me sigh and it is just plain ol’ fun to watch.
You know, I’ve just realised that I love my brain cause it lets me remember in great detail all of the shows, movies and books I love :)

Wow, I’m not sure what it is but that didn’t make me feel happy at all. I mean, Ashley looked beautiful (always think she does) but those paps followed her ALL day. She was just trying to shop and have alone time and they were there every minute just waiting. She didn’t look please at all to see them (which I think alone proves she is not an attention seeker as some people like to categorize her as). I don’t mind just seeing her when she is at events/in moves because that Ashley in that clip was unfortunately just being stalked :(

OK, about the chicken pox—Everything is possible, just not probable. Really, a person shouldn’t get it again. But there are always those little idiosyncrasies that occur. Zanessa110, are you sure it was chicken pox you had before?
ellie: I absolutely LOVE Moulin Rouge! I have watched that like a million times. I have the double disc DVD of it. Love all the extras.
audrey: I can tell you I have met a few celebrities and the best thing to do is act like a normal person. When I was in NYC in December ’05 I went to see a play that had one of my all-time favorite actors. I got to meet him after the performance and he gave me the lion’s share of his time even though there were several people waiting for him. I think it was because there were some young ladies who were oohing and aahing and fawning all over him saying how much they loved him and his work and thought he’d get a Tony nomination, etc, did he think he had become like the late Jason Robards…just craziness. He is known to be modest but friendly to fans, yet what was he to say to a person who is fawning all over him? Should he say, “Yes, I know I’m great”. It doesn’t leave much room for conversation. Whereas for me I had picked up about 5 programs and he saw them in my hands when I handed him mine to autograph. I just started laughing and tried to assure him that I didn’t expect him to sign all of them but that I had picked them up to send to some of my friends who were also big fans of his but they weren’t lucky like me and couldn’t come to NY to see him on Broadway. One thing led to another and he was teasing me and he ended up signing ALL of them to the people I told him about. It was quite an experience that I will never forget. But I think he was just comfortable with me because he was able to just talk and laugh normally with me and didn’t feel like he was on the spot.

Karen- Agreed. I told some of the ZA’s how I had met Joshua Jackson on a flight, and he has always been a favorite of mine. He was sitting in first class behind me on a flight to NYC. After the meal had been served, I got up and asked him if he wouldn’t mind taking a picture with me after we landed. I prefaced it by saying “I don’t want to make a big deal, but…” He was so sweet, he seemed to know I wasn’t going to scream or shout at him and cause a scene, so he asked my name, asked where I was going. I was actually wondering how the man sitting next to Joshua did not know who he was sitting next to!
I know I’ll figure out a way to get my feelings in check if I get this opportunity. First and foremost, I view it as a job and a resume builder, so I can’t have them thinking ‘wow, she is too starstruck to do her job.’ Fashion and entertainment go so hand in hand that I feel this won’t be my first nor last time in the presence of actors’/public figures whose work I’ve enjoyed watching.

# 1030 DEE- No way? I was talking about how I loved that “On My Own” song Joey did because it’s my favorite song on Les Misrables, but even moreso my favorite Dawson’s Creek character was singing it. Where did you see Joshua? Yeah, he was on my flight when I flew out for NY fashion week. I was putting my bag in the overhead bin and turned around and there he was. My reaction was to quickly sit down- haha! It actually kind of scared me that I turned around and he was right there.

Oh and speaking of Pixar films, there was an ad before the movie today for the new Disney/Pixar movie called ‘Wall-E’ about this little robot. He was so adorable, he freaked out when he run over a bug and had to make sure it was ok. He was like the robot version of E.T!
I didn’t get OMG with Joshua, but I did tell him that I really liked him in Dawson’s Creek, and that it was one of my favorite shows. He was sweet, he said thank you and was just really really nice. I was definetly on cloud 9 the rest of the day.

Yeah, I intern at Betsey Johnson, so I flew out to help with the NY Mercedes Benz fashion week. It was a dream come true, I only cried once when we got inside the tents and I saw the runway for the first time. It was a bit of a “moment”
I just want to try the HSM thing because I have never done costuming/anything related to fashion in films. HSM wouldn’t be a bad stepping stone, since I enjoy those films so much.

ellie- It’s like I live in the stone age! I never watch new movies? I have a weird fondness of the Disney channel and that’s the only reason I even knew about HSM. They kept showing all these “Coming soon” clips and the music video to “The Start of Something New” and I thought it looked like just another random, but good Disney movie.
Oops, must’ve said that outloud…Sorry DEE, I would never try and steal cardboard Zac away from you. Monkey Zac on the other hand…Nah, Just Kidding :)
And backpacking extravaganza is right, but only a few places in the U.S. My dream itinerary would be Hong Kong, Moscow, Athens, Salzburg, Munich, Barcelona, Paris, London, New York, LA then back home with visits to places around those cities. With the special deals I can get through the Uni travel agent, having flights between all those cities would cost me around $6000, so I’m hoping that’s what we can do!

It’s good to see so many of you here having a great conversation. I just haven’t felt like typing. It’s been another one of those days. I mostly was all congested today and couldn’t breathe and yet right now I feel a little better. I don’t understand why I feel better some days and then horrible again. And today as I said, I felt horrible earlier and better right now. I hope the whole winter is not going to be like this. I have a lot of allergies to medications like antibiotics some bad side effects when I take others. When I take decongestants or antihistimines I end up having what is called a rebounding effect so sometimes it is better not to take the stupid stuff.
I am glad I got to say Hi to so many of you. Usually by the time I get to post everyone has gone away! LOL But I am going to try to start my New Year’s resolution early and that is to take better care of myself and get more rest. So, since the board is in such good hands I am going to turn in. My mom’s birthday was today so I spent quite a bit of time with her. My mom, my sister, and I all have birthdays within a month of each other so the women in my family were always getting another year older around the same time! We now just exchange info on all our aches and pains on our birthdays! LOL
I got to admit, I would love to see the “kids”, would you? I really miss seeing Zac!
Don’t worry Audrey, I don’t go to the cinema all that often so most movies I don’t get to see until they’re on cable a year later, which I guess means they’re not exactly new anymore. There’s quite a few movies I haven’t seen yet that everybody else seems to have already seen like Spiderman 3 for example.
It’s only 4pm over here Audrey, so I’ll still be here awhile then up way past when you guys all go to bed so sure, send me what you have! :)

I agree kristen, but he was unemployed last year for like 8 months so I’m sure he’s anxious for whatever projects come his way. Since Seventeen is a comedy this would be a perfect next role for him to do if it’s more serious. Then he’ll be able to sing and dance in HSM3!!!!

I think she’s concentrating on finishing her album. I wonder if movie execs think she just wants to do the music thing right now. Zac has made it abundantly clear that he wants to act and not do music. But V is recording an album and doing events where she’s singing though I’m sure her people are getting her auditions.
On a side note Jump in is on Disney right now and Corbin looks so much hotter when his hair is pulled back like in “I Don’t Dance”.

yeah. we get soo many van, ash and ashnessa now. so…their pics probably sells less. then again…jj still buys them though because they give him hits. even this thread. it’s already a few days old, but he’s still getting hits for it while other threads are forgotten. I think so? I plan on typing well into this evening/morning and working on it tomorrow. It’s all single spaced now at about… 11 pages, so I guess double spaced that’s what-like almost 30 pages? I want a sizeable story, maybe 60 pages by it’s end.
Audrey you need to get out more and start bumping into them. I must admit in Zac’s Rolling Stone interview they asked him what he does on a typical day. Nah, I’ve already got a suit I bought at the beginning of summer, though I may buy a new sundress to wear over it. Yep, NYE is tomorrow, I can’t believe 2007 is almost over! My friend and I have already made a New Years resolution to go into town to visit the travel agent and get the ball rolling for our trip. Though I have to get a new passport first, mine expired :(

Yeah, I have been overseas although not to many places. Mexico (which really is not overseas) St.Tropez, and this past summer I went to Paris for the first time. I too had to get a new passpot because mine was from when I was like 15, haha

I’m still here Audrey, I had to go hang the washing up actually and I’m reading some fanfic at the same time so no big :) I should probably write more on mine but I don’t feel like it tonight.

Yeah, I got my passport when I was 12 and went on an exchange to New Zealand. When I used it for the German exchange I went on in 2004, I was a little embarrassed cause the picture didn’t really look like me anymore!
It was amazing. I speak French fluently, so it was much easier getting around town and not feeling quiet like i was in a foreign country since I understood what everyone was saying.
My favorite place I visited was Versailles. I could have spent a full 2 days there. It’s so much art and history all in one large span of space. It’s breath-taking
Sounds like you did have fun! And I agree that knowing the language makes it easier. My German is a little rusty now since it’s been two years since I regularly learnt it but when I was over there I got very good. Nothing like having to speak it non-stop for two months to help your vocab :)
I would love to visit Versailles. I’m a history buff, especially European history and all the stories fascinate me. I was constantly amazed when I was over in Europe because there were buildings older than Australia (as a colonised nation I mean)! The oldest building here is just over 200 years old and over there I visited castles built in the 7 th century!
You’ll love Paris- there is history everywhere you look.
And the food is amazing. I tried beef tartar! And if you like onions at all, you must try some authentic soupe de l’oignon au gratin. I’ll email you a link to my facebook album of my visit to Paris if you’d like. I took pics of everything- and many at Versailles.
I like onions, so I’ll have to keep that in mind. I fell in love with leberkaesen on a roll with mustard (Bavarian fast food!) and these noodles called uh, Spezel i think.

I’m thinking I’ll have to set up a private travel blog when I go on my trip so I can post pics and stories for all my friends on here to see. What kind of meat is leberkaesen? I love noodles, mmm. Pad thai is one of my favorite noodle dishes aside from spaghetti-based dishes.
It’s made from liver and is like a meatloaf kind of thing that you fry. The name literally means ‘ liver cheese’. It’s delicious, and luckily Adelaide had quite a few German settlers settle here in the 19th century so there are some German butcher shops I can buy it from over here :)
Pad thai is yummy, I also love hokkien and drunken noodles.
The spezel noodles look like little yellow worms and have the same texture as gnocchi.
I’m getting hungry- and it’s 2:30am here! not exactly a great time to be eating, haha.

That’s ok, actually I think I should call it a night. It’s 9pm over here and since I know I won’t be getting much sleep tomorrow on NYE, I need as much as I can get tonight.
