Roseanne Barr Hates Oprah

Roseanne Barr Hates Oprah

Actress/comedian Roseanne Barr has made some wild accusations in her latest blog about talk show host Oprah Winfrey and Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. Here’s a summary of what she said (with spelling and grammar fixed):

Barack is an empty suit selling “hope” in lieu of Truth
Oprah helped to elect Arnold Schwarzenegger. I have no doubt that she voted her purse by doing this, as she is a large land owner in California, and that ilk fears Dems because they do not want to pay their “fair share” of Cali tax.
Oprah has given us Dr. Phil. If that was not offensive enough to decent thinking people, now she brings us Obama. He has no ideas, no plan and nothing to add other than the cynical pacification of the masses with bedtime stories about hope.
Oprah, you play the race card and the gender card too. You are a closeted republican and chose Barack because you do not like other women who actually stand for something to working American Women besides glamour, angels, Hollywood and dieting!
– It is historical that Oprah, beloved of women, chooses a flashy man with small credentials over a seasoned woman politician with 35 years of experience…and sells that to the female demographic who look to her for inspiration!

OUCH!!!!!

    oprah THE BEST!

  • well

at the end of the day, as history has shown us, ALL politicians are da same in that they cannot and will never be able to solve our problems. a lota them try, some more than others buts its futile. As for Oprah, i think her only fault is putting too much hope in this one man. Sounds like Rosie is being too hard on her.

roseanne barr just wants attention. she’s like the wingnut who sits on the front porch with a bottle of whiskey, an old hound and a bottle of voka, bitching about life and saying outlandish shit. and like that old bitch, she should just be ignored.

oprah is golden, she’s the real deal, and so is barack obama. if people had any balls, they would vote for barack. the machines that have been running washington have left quite a mess and someone strong needs to go in and clean that shit up. barack is the man.

You go Rossanne. Say like it is and not afraid.

Harsh! Roseanne’s face looks like a dried apricot. So much dislike for someone. What ashame! I like Oprah!

Politicians are all fake! It is a part of their stratedgy to win.

I kinda agree with her. I mean, a black man becoming president of the USA, it’s a strong symbol and something I’d like happening during my lifetime. But indeed, Mrs Clinton has the experience! I’m torn.

  • Didi

thats a f*cking funny blog and shes a 100 % right. Oprah is a stupid bandwagon jumping b*tch

obama is a soulless wishywashy f*ck and hilary is f*cking useless with no real policies. only one with any decency is Kucinich. The rest can f*ck off and die as far as i am concerned.

  • viola

I 100 % agree with her. Oprah is only endorsing Obama because he is black, I remember when “White Chicks” cast were guests on her show, she praised the movie to the skies and said ridiculous things like it was the funniest movie she has ever seen etc.
I wish all the mindless followers would look beyong his charm and looks and actually pay attention to what Obama is saying. He really is totally inexperienced when it comes to foreign policy and offers only empty rhetoric.

    GO HILARY!

  • two buck chuck

Loathe Oprah. What a self-serving and haughty control freak she is. And the masses of desperate housewives that fawn over everything she tells them is important are just as bad.

  • TWILIGHT

i think that she’s being to harsh on oprah!

Roseanne is a loose cannon. LOL!!!! She gets it wrong more than she gets it right. Fisrt of all, both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are really intelligent. OK? So is John Edwards. They are all really intelligent people. And frankly, I feel like no matter which one of them comes out on top we will ALL win. Bcz there is not one single Republican who can ever again make me think about voting for a Republican. None. Nada. And I think all this arguing among the Dems is wrong. Yes they are campaigning. But they need to focus on the Republicans. People are angry at Bush. Why don’t they go after what is wrong in Washington instead of being negative about each other. Roseanne needs to STFU! If Barack Obama is gaining support, it is bcz his message of hope and believing in yourself and saying “Yes we can!” is something people really need right now. We have been totally smushed by Bush and all the terrible things that have happened in the last eight years. Beginning with the Supreme Court stealing the 2000 election for him. So the people are ready for a change. They are ready to stop being ruled by fear and would rather be ruled by hope. I am all for that. Hillary is a brilliant person. But why didn’t her and her husband criticize Bush all these years? Instead, Bill Clinton is always hanging around them. I don’t trust that. Bush is an evil man. But if Hillary is the one who wins the nomination, I will vote for her. I sure wish Al Gore would have run.

  • Rose

Well, both candidates are kinda equally good, depending on what you like for the future president to do or be . Let her write whatever she fancies, otherwise the 1st amendment would not exist. Please no censorship and respect her opinions, either if you like them or not; they don’t necessarily have to be all the truth.

  • WYT

OMG, she’s so right! other people don’t have the guts to say that. harsh but true. Obama is a big talker.

  • TiredofthisCrap

Wow… someone forgot her meds again. She also needs to check her math, Hilary does not have 35 years of political experience I believe it is 8 years as a Senator. Being a first lady does not equate political experience, especially when most of her “terms” as first lady were marred with scandals.(Lewinsky , Hilarycare and Whitewater). Most voters have enough sense to investigate each candidate before making a decision. No one is voting for Barack because Oprah says so. *sheesh*

  • Che

I agree w/Rosane in that Oprah is a seller of empty hopes, Oprah plays the race card very well, while in the same time NEVER addressing the true problem of colored women, none to say colored peoples.
Oprah will never stand for anything that is controversial or that will harm her bottom line.
    Oprah is a fake.
She only cares about what whiddle upper middles class white women has to say – they are the ones buying her products.
I do not know any and I mean any color woman or men or family that is middle class or lower that can practice any of the things she preaches…
Oprahis another lie that the “main stream” sells, we in the lower end of the spectrum are too busy keeping up with their lies to have any time for important things like:
-Equality among social class, gender, sexual orientation, etc
    -Social Justice
    -Fair taxes
you name it, Oprah does not have an opinion, she is another entretainer that is there to take our time up, feeding us impossibles and making us desire the vanalities of life instead of substance… instead of a meaningful life.

I know lots of people – including my soon-to-be-can-not-wait-to mother in law and husband – that do not like Hillary.

Among all, she is the one that have so much experience and if you travel abroad, she does have INSTANT credibility and love of the people… electing Hillary will further our goal of repairing our image abroad.

I am not saying that I like EVERYTHING about that person, but I know she learns from her mistakes and she does study and take into consideration the knowledge of people…

I do not think that there is another more fit candidate at this moment, except for Edwards, but his “war to poverty” is not gaining track, Mr K has great ideas, but he will never be elected – he does not look Presidential.
On the Republican side the only open minded person – half way is… oh man! I can not recall… I guess there is no one… however Ron Paul does have very good ideas and implementatio n plans to bring this country back to a Republican way of goverment.

    I like him (Ron Paul)

That said, I do not know that he would be able to implement his ideas due to the imperialistic nature of US interest abroad…. too much money, too much grid….

    too many Oprahs.

I have been saying for the last 15 years, she is a fake.

    Oprah is a fake….

  • http://gorgeousblackwomen.blogspot.com/ Gorgeous Black Women

While I agree with Roseanne on some points, people who vote for Obama because he’s black or a man are just as ridiculous as people who pick Hillary because she’s a woman. The insinuation is that Oprah should sponsor Hillary. My personal view, though I don’t watch Oprah, is that she should use her show to educate people about the candidates and the importance of voting instead of sponsoring any particular candidate or party. Same goes with California elections. It is HER show and really, she can do whatever the f— she wants.

More offensive than Dr. Phil is Girls Behaving Badly.

  • Jello

I totally agree with Roseanne. Oprah gave Arnold a free hour of advertising when she had him on her nationally televised show because she is friends with his wife. That is irresponsible! she completely softballed George Bush in 2000 and skewered Al Gore. No she acts differently by going on the campaign trail and thinking it has nothing to do with her show. Obama is too vague and has a very poor record toward working people.

  • thalia

Sooooo ON POINT. Oprah is such a PHONY!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Evelyn loves the Pitts

She is right,Oprah is a closet racist. All those white women that worship her do not realize this. But if you listen to the comments she makes about the school she opened in suoth africa “I do not owe anything to the white folks in africa” I have white people serving me” .I do not like her or Obama.VOTE Hillary.

  • Daisy

For the first time in my life i actually agree with Roseanne Barr.
“Obama. He has no ideas, no plan and nothing to add other than the cynical pacification of the masses with bedtime stories about hope.”
    That’s brilliant and absolutely true.

  • Freddie

What a dumb bitch. She obviously has no idea what she’s talking about, and feels the need to be ‘controversial’ due to the fact that no one cares about fucking Roseanne anymore. Booh to that.

  • Observer

    Exactly!

I totally agree with her eventhough I hate her, she is so damn annoying.

Only low-educated middle-aged women or stay-at-home type of women who cant think for themselves love Oprah.

  • Che

I agree with GBW up there, if Oprah had any brains or were in any way interested in the future of America, she would have used her power and the “Oprah Machine” to educate people that watch her show… she does have the platform and the money to do so, instead she whines about inner city kids that want iPod… what a greedy person…

My kids go to a inner city magnet HS, and they DO use their iPods for homework… I do not know what the kids that do not have one do, but when I read that I felt anger, Oprah is disconected and she simply does not care.

Oprah saying that she does not help American kids because they only want iPods

    is the same the

Geoge Bush saying that there where no poor children in Texas….

Welcome to the East Austin, Welcome to Del Valle… welcome to any city in the great USA and you will see hungry crildren.

Mr Bill Gates and in s smaller manner Mr Dell have put some of their money where their mouth are, here and abroad they help High Schoolers… and they give away laptops and so on… they fund special program that the over taxes middle class and the lower economical classes can no longer bear and help out.

Oprah goes and donate in a country where her status will not be challanged… she is cheap.
Just look into her New Orleans “effors” it only consist in lending her face to tell people to donate, along with corporate donors… she does not put any substancial amount of money of that effort but she sure takes credit for it… with her money she could have completelly rebuilt a war….

But noooooo…. she just goes for some foto ops and she goes back to her dogs…

Oprah is not worth it, I not only have not watch her shows, but I do not support anything she does…

    She is sneaky and mean.

    She is a fake.

  • Entice

I keep hearing about Hilary’s experience…being a governor who becomes president wife doesn’t constitute experience…I mean if that’s the case let’s elect Laura Bush into Senate and have her run in four years too…I mean come on…

  • Che

Obama will be another GWB – a president with “handlers” because he does not know anything about anything…

    We had enough of that

It is time that we put someone who can count and read in the Oval Office.

    Someone with guts.

Oprah endorsing Obama actually show how shallow they both are.

  • LA

Rosanne is right Oprah sucks i hate her. Oprah is doing nothing but raising her own bank acct. with her show.
I’m so over her America have your own mind

  • LA

    Obama ? what’s his Plan ?

  • Mya

I’m not a fan of Roseanne’s BUT she is speaking the truth.
    Obama has very little experience.

I use to love Oprah but as she gets older; her true self is showing. Oprah has little care about the working poor in America and truly loves catering to the upper class.

It would be a grave mistake for the Democrats to elect Obama as their candidate.
He is NOT electable as President simply because NO Republican will vote for him. He has Muslim ties (his father is a Muslim and he was raised as one)…. I have nothing against the Muslim religion as I respect all religions but considering post 911 & what’s happening in Iraq & Afghanistan; Does anyone really believe Obama will be elected President of the U.S.???

  • Che

    Beats the rationale of:

“He is black, he is handsome, he is charismatic”

you can also add several derrogative adjectives to the above…

I do like Obama, but I think he should finish at least one senatorial period before he does anything else… he does not have his own ideas… his ideas are base on books and people telling him what to do… not of experience and negotiation skills….

As I said before, we need some open minded brainy person in the Oval Office..

  • yes!

I absolutely agree with her!! (And I have a PhD, under 30, and live in CA, all things pollsters have linked to Obama supporters…well, I’m not! He talks pretty but has no concrete plans and little actual experience.)

Go Roseanne! I can’t stand Oprah and her championing of mediocrity.

  • SJ

    Go Rosie!!!!!

She hit all the right notes.

  • fresh

who cares about Roseanne. She’s a has been. Irrelevant. NEXT.

  • WYT

i don’t care about Roseanne at all, but she really got a point this time.

  • http://blackarazzi.com blackarazzi

And what candidate has great ideas Rosie dear? Hilary Clintons 35 years experience and the country is still fucked….why would Rosie say that Oprah should support Hilary because she’s a woman…that be as stupid as saying people should support Obama because he is black …

No one hass ever said before, O people are supportng Al Gore because he is white….lol…such stupid trash she talks ..

  • chelsea

Thank you Roseanne! I could not agree more! I am NO fan of Oprah.

  • i totally agree

i totally agree with Rosanne. Oprah has never been concerned with real issues that matters to all women, not just shallow women who watches her show everday. i’m a black woman and i have no feeling or connection with Oprah at all. i will vote for hillary clinton!

  • view from the north

    i totally agree!
Oprah is a racist of the worst kind
How dare she have a show and get flithy rich off the americans (white and black) and speak about women’s rights for 20 years then support Obama!
If she was not bank rolling him he would be nothing
    He is terrible
It is a disgrace that she is not supporting Hillary
    Shame on Oprah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i totally agree

this election is very important and we must take back our future . Hillary is the right person for tjis difficult job. I support her 100%. Roseanne is so brave for expressing her views against all the hate that surely will come her way. VOTE HILLARY!

  • You/Me

Riiigghhtt. And Roseanne is such a great judge of character. And she isn’t exactly the most mentally stable person anyway. We are supposed to take HER opinion seriously. I don’t think so. As a matter of fact, if Rosanne Barr, of all people, is backing Hilary Clinton then you KNOW that is the wrong candidate.

  • crazyDaisy

Barack Obama Barack Obama Barack Obama Barack Obama Barack Obama Barack Obama Barack Obama!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for president!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lola

Ouch. I love Roseanne and I hate Oprah…but I really do like Obama.

    –read my blog at http://fashionpoirot.blogspot.com

  • Ha!

It’s scary to think that the Democratic nomination for president could go to a man with less than a full term as a Senator under his belt and no viable track record for voters to use to learn what he really stands for. It’s even scarier to think that someone like Oprah Winfrey would use her media influence to endorse a candidate like that. Give him 10 or so more years learning and serving the country and I might consider him a safe candidate. It’s sad that his main competition is Hilary Clinton, because there is no way in h*ll she could ever get elected.
