2008 Golden Globes Winners List

The winners of the Golden Globes were announced Sunday night at a press conference at the Beverly Hilton.

Atonement and Sweeney Todd both picked up two awards each, including best picture.

No Country for Old Men and The Diving Bell and the Butterfly received two trophies each as well.

All I have to say is, Juno was robbed!!! 0 for 3 despite critical love and box-office success!!!

    OH HAPPY DAY!!!

jolie LOST — no GG for her poor baby!!

Eat it loons!!! What are you gonna come up with now as your excuse for your idol not winning this award even though both jolie and pitt have pulled out all the stops in trying to show up as Mr. & NOT MRS. Middle America with the PR campaign to get people to believe they are not the ****** they really are!!

So…eating pizza with the Pitts didn’t work.
Eating burgers with the common folks didn’t work.
Eating drive-in McDonalds for Christmas didn’t work.
Trying to look like they were actually taking a bike ride en familie didn’t work.
    None of it is working!!!

    HAHAHAHAHAHA!!

At least she got a nomination. You can’t say the same for Chinnifer Maniston. Maniston is never going to get nominated for any upcoming film roles.

I’m so glad they all won.
Marion Cotillard was absolutely amazing in La Vie En Rose. She completely deserved it.
As did Sweeny Todd and Johnny Depp in Sweeny Todd.
And I’m also glad Ratatouille was a great animated movie.

    retire Brad Pitt Says:

At least Angelina was recognized for her hard work. BraD Pitt couldn’t even get a nom for any awards this year. He totally sucks and is way overrated .

Just looking at this trailer, you’ll know why Marion Cotillard won.

    What? Angelina didn’t win! I can’t believe she didn’t win…
She was i-n-c-r-i-d-i-b-l-e in A Might Heart! How sad :(

Congratulations to Julie Christie, and Sarah Polley for getting her out of retirement.

    kate Says:

There are so many people here who deserved to win and didn’t. Its just disgusting how these people won’t get over themselves and give the writers what they deserve. They need to grow up. Otherwise there aren’t going to be many fans left of anything if it keeps up the way they’re going….

I thought the awards presentation was great. The announcements were made one after the other without any boring acceptance speeches, stupid jokes read off a prompter,or drawn out movie bytes.

Best of All Johnny Depp got his long overdue Golden Globe. Now that is one man I would have loved to have seen strut up to the stage and give his speech. He deserves it.

A saw Julie Christie and Jolie in their respective movies and Christie really was the best – it was a better role. there was very little meat on the Jolie part.

    amber Says:

Congrats to Johnny! Sweeny Todd was a great movie and he deserved it. I am kind of upset that Helena Bohnam Carter was shut out though because she was AMAZING in that movie and should’ve won a GG. Oh, and congrats to Queen Latifah!

  14. 39
    You/Me Says:

This totally sucks. The writers on strike suck and so do the actors for not crossing the picket lines. The fans are the ones getting gipped. It’s so uncool and unfair to make us pay for THEIR issues.
    Selfish ungrateful bast*rds.
If Angie had to lose to someone I’m glad it was to Julie Christie, but even just getting the nomination was an honor for Angie because it shows that her work IS getting noticed and respected.
F*CK THE WRITERS AND THEIR F*CKING STRIKE!!! :-(

WOW. You’re comment is so ignorant. You obviously don’t know anything about the art of great acting. The winners were perfect tonight. Those who say Nikki Blonsky should have won against the great Marion Cotillard know NOTHING about acting ,therefore should not criticise.

  18. 43
    lurker Says:

Atonement was the perfect choice for Best Fim of the Golden Globes. It won’t win for the Academy Awards but for the gobal market, this is the right film.

    Miapocca Says:

It would be funny if the writers strike themselves out of a job…folks might realise improv and reality tv is more fun after all…that would be hilarious..like goign on strike ans getting fired for your trouble…they dont have my sympathy and I hope they all get replaces, time to get some fresh ocllege students in to show thier talents…afterall we are having all these non award shows hahahahah

    Keira Fans.net Says:

I’m so thrilled for Johnny Depp and Sweeney Todd…SO deserving. I’m really disappointed that Keira didn’t win the actress category, though.

    ++++++++++++

Bet you would be singing a different tune if your creative product was earning money after money after money and you weren’t seeing a penny of it.

    Melissa Says:

OH the typical it was nice to be nominated speech, that is a crock of poop, she was only nominated to fill a open spot. She will never win and she won’t be nominated for an Oscar. Face it people the only fans she has is the tabloid reporters.

  23. 48
    Not surprised Says:

No on cares just about being nominated they want to win, This is the first time Angie lost the GG when she was nominated. This speaks loud and clear of her reputation in hollywood.

  24. 49
    Miapocca Says:

#46 ..nope I wouldnt…its a capitalist society, if they were presantable all the have to do is get infront of the camera themselves…the good old us reaps people off everyday..ever bough anything made in china..this how much labor went in and how much the coporations earn from it..I am nto saying its righ but thats pretty much how life is played out..and yes in some places you go on strike, people learn they can do without you and viaola you get fired..
