Vanity Fair - "Hollywood Issue" 2008

Vanity Fair -

Vanity Fair marks the 14th year of its gigantic annual Hollywood Issue.

On top of all the starlets on the cover, everybody who’s anybody is featured in the inside photo spreads: Renee Zellweger, Seth Rogen, Charlize Theron, Naomi Watts, Emile Hirsch, James McAvoy, Marion Cotillard, Jodie Foster, Tang Wei, Josh Brolin, Casey Affleck, Eva Marie Saint, Ben Foster, Omar Metwally, Julie Christie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Robert Downey Jr., Keira Knightley, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Scarlett Johansson and Javier Bardem.

Check out the scans below!

FYI: Vanity Fair canceled its most lavish bash for the Oscars because of the writers strike. “After much consideration, and in support of the writers and everyone else affected by this strike, we have decided that this is not the appropriate year to hold our annual Oscar party,” said a Vanity Fair spokesperson. “We want to congratulate all of this year’s nominees and we look forward to hosting our 15th Oscar party next year.”

Well, that is actually a pretty cool set!

Vanity Fair is now forgiven for their idiotic move in putting the non talented Jessica Biel on that cover.

My favorites: Lifeboat, Rebecca, Rear Window, Strangers in the Train, and Psycho.

one of my favorite hitchcock films was always “vertigo” so I’m happy to see that was one of the portrayed films. Renee Zellweger is beautiful, but you can’t beat the beauty of Kim Novak

Thank you so much for these, Jared!

Marion Cotillard is the best. Psycho, my favorite.
Paltrow is the worst, saddly. Looking like Grace Kelly doesnt mean having her…grace.
Scarjo is great, Knightley beautiful. Theron is so-so.
And what about guys? McAvoy is my favorite. Bardem is great.
And concerning the others, nothing fantastic, but beautiful pictures.

this is brilliant!

Very cool idea for a photo series, but it definitely reminds one that the “stars” in these photos have nothing on the stars who originally starred in these films. Gwyneth you are NO Grace Kelly.

Is Cate Blanchett still boycotting Vanity Fair after the Brad Pitt incident with Vanity Fair?

Thumb up Thumb down 0

ITA that Gwyneth was a poor choice for Grace Kelly. However, beautiful photos

I think Renee looks mildly retarded in that photo…don’t think she is anywhere near qualified to replace Kim Novak. Uh uh.

I adore the ‘Hollywood’ issue each year, it never dissapoints. I love Knightly’s picture w/JJL.

#14, she was in the issue last month (I think) photographed as Agent Spalko for Indiana Jones 4, I don’t know where you got that idea from.

Anyway, Renee looks like she’s had some botox, she can not move her forehead at all!

I think the Rebecca and Psycho ones are the best.

“Is Cate Blanchett still boycotting Vanity Fair after the Brad Pitt incident with Vanity Fair?”

What are you talking about?

This is so cool and the photos are really amazing. Marion Cotillard’s Psycho pictures are great and Gwyneth Paltrow is a perfect Grace Kelly.

Gorgeous pictures!
Mmmm James McAvoy. He reminds me of my very first love(and heartbreak) for some reason. Wasn’t he in a remake of some scifi novel on television several years ago? He caught my eye then too

“everybody who’s anybody in Hollywood is inside”….

WHAT! No Orlando Bloom?!!!!
Cue the little outraged and indignant fangirls/old raisins……
“What,…but…but…what do you mean he’s …done?! But…he’s doing FINE!!! He’s making great commercials and humanitarian…thingys and EVERYTHING!”

BeautifuL. Nothing beats Vanity Fair when it comes to photos especially with celebrities.
I love them all……thinking of buying the issue actually.
Has anyone see the “Killers Kill, Dead Men Die” photos, Jared you should put them up, its very cool.
xx
