America Ferrera @ NAACP Awards 2008

America Ferrera is a vision in a baby blue Marchesa gown at the 2008 NAACP Image Awards held at Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium on Thursday.

Actors Jurnee Smollett and Denzel Whitaker presented America, 23, with the award for Best Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her outstanding work in Ugly Betty. Costar Vanessa Williams won Best Supporting Actress.

Congrats, America!

America and Hill Harper also presented Janet Jackson with the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture award for Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married.

I love this chica, and I’m always curious to see what she’s up to and stuff..

She’s lost a tonne of weight now!! When you see her in Real women have curves, and these pictures, I’d say she’s lost at least 50lbs to date!! So good on her!
