Hilary Swank Honored for Cancer Charity Work

Hilary Swank (in Jill Stuart) arrives at Saks Fifth Avenue’s “Unforgettable Evening” to benefit EIF’s Women’s Cancer Research Fund held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills on Wednesday.

The Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) honored the 33-year-old actress with the 2008 Courage Award in recognition of her cancer charity work.

Last year, Swank cut nine inches off her hair on The Oprah Winfrey Show to encourage others to donate their locks to cancer survivors.

Oscars rehearsals were also earlier this week. The Associated Press caught a glimpse of her: “A ponytailed, makeup-free Hilary Swank embodied superstar casual chic in a silky white blouse, skinny black pants and towering high heels. She stepped on stage, read through her lines and quickly disappeared into the Kodak [theater] commotion.”

Hilary is expected to wear Armani Prive to the actual ceremony after being spotted at the designer’s Milan show last month.
