Charlize Theron Talks With The NY Times

Charlize Theron recently sat down with the NY Times. The 32-year-old actress was asked how it felt to be a sudden star and if she got stalked by paparazzi.

Charlize answered, “There was less then than now. I don’t like the tactics of the paparazzi, but in some ways, I almost prefer their unflattering shots to the glossy images in magazines. I like to see the human underneath.”

And interestingly enough, Ms. Theron shared what kinds of sounds she likes. “I like the noise of things frying because I love fried things, coffee brewing, that (imitates whirring sound) sound, friends and people that I love laughing. I love the sound of my dog begging for food.”

And sweetly, she says, “I love when the man of my dreams says ‘I love you.’ There you go. I’m a sucker. I’m a loser.”

I like her a lot too..she’s always so real…(Of course I love Angelina more than any other celebrity..although I used to be a big fan of Julia Roberts too. I still am, but I have been head over hills in love with Angie ever since I can remember.

I like her but that picture doesn’t really look much like her. It’s obviously been photoshopped to death, which is dumb because she hardely needs it.

One of the most enchanting women in Hollywood.

I almost didn’t recognize her. Has she had her cheeks lipo-suctioned or something? She used to have a very round face. Anyway, she is absolutely gorgeous and a really really great actress. I haven’t like all her movies but she really deserved her Oscar for “Monster”. She was fabulous in that one. Her first film was Two Days in the Valley and she was stunning, both in looks and talent, in that one.

“a sudden star? ” bahaha! Hasn’t she been acting opposite big stars as the female lead and for big directors for more than a decade? lol what are they talking about?? There seems to be this need to try and snow the public when someone doesn’t garner a lot of attention or excitement after being around for forever…articles get written that infer, a person is just now catching on and is ‘new’ or that they willingly have ‘taken a break’ to be Moms….Gwen Paltry is a good one for doing that. She’s made like 5-6 movies in the last 3-4 years, promoted them all, and yet when she does interviews…they are forever saying ‘gweneth is BACK and ready to work again after her SELF imposed exile’…when everyone knows that b*tch nevr went anywhere and has been working all along. Bahahah! Is it so mortifying to just be an actress, not everyone can generate excitement and be the talk of town. That’s why I like Hilary Swank, she doesn’t care that she can’t get arrested. Theron has been in the game longer than Swank, yet you know if someone called ‘hilary’ a “sudden star” it’d be kind of ridiculous. lmao

She’s a lovely lady.
She’s elegant. And i like her acting. (:

great picture and clip of her

Love Charlize being from SA and all – just a few facts she got wrong – We had movies – in colour – when had magazines so we did know who Tom Hanks was – she makes it sounds like SA is way behind the world – nie baie mooi nie Charlize

I’m a huge fan of Charlize, but don’t like the way she’s been talking bad about her home town (SA). I mean to say that we don’t celebrate Christmas is such a load of rubbish – where does that come from. SA is known to celebrate Christmas is a huge way. Stay true to your South African roots girl. Just because you’ve now talk in an american accent doesn’t doesn’t really change a thing does it?

Hmm, ek stem saam Kara. She makes SA sound a little backwaterish. I still remember when she was a model here, I always liked her chubby cheeks. Her being from here (SA) is why she is so down to earth and not totally “Hollywood”. SA kicks ass!

She was born in a lost firm in benoni there were no huge theaters and cinemas behind her that what she was talking about and in the 89.90′s she wasn’t talking about the whole ” SA” and its capital ppl so calm down and don’t be that sticky to everything just for the sick to criticize ,and honestly if it’s not because of charlize i would never heard about benoni…she is a role model image for SA and she is bringing so much help , money , build mobile clinics in the poor areas of SA so you must be grateful for what she is doing for your home country instead of bitching.

She is so lovely.
