OlderDrew Barrymore's Million Dollar Donation
Ambassador Against Hunger Drew Barrymore is donating $1 million to the World Food Programme to help feed children in Africa.
The 33-year-old actress made the big announcement on Monday’s Oprah Winfrey Show. So far, Drew has taken two trips to Kenya to see the WFP’s work first hand.
“I have seen with my own eyes what a difference a simple cup of nutritious porridge can make in a child’s life,” Drew said. “It helps them learn, stay healthy and sets them on track for a bright future. I urge everyone — everywhere — to help WFP ‘Fill the Cup’ for hungry children, and make hunger history.”
WFP has a dream: to feed 10 million more hungry school children in Africa by Thanksgiving Day. Join Drew in helping feed millions of people at WFP.org.

That’s a good girl right there. Putting her money where her mouth is. So many of her fellow celebs and the like have such vast fortunes and I bet most of them could very easily do the same as her. I want to see them all follow her lead.

Drew Barrymore is an amazing person and has a big heart. I wish there were more people like her in Hollywood. She is the kind of person that people should look up to, a very good role model. Plus she’s so cute and adorable together with Justin Long!
Thats great. I wish more of these celebs would follow suit and do some good especially these young girls, instead of flashing their crotch and breast and blowing their money on booze and drugs.
