OlderCarrie Underwood Announces CMA Nominations
Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley announce the nominations for the Academy of Country Music Awards on Tuesday in Nashville, Tennessee.
The Country superstars announced the nominations at the Country Music Hall of Fame. Kenny Chesney led the pack with 11 nominations, including entertainer of the year and top male vocalist. Rodney Atkins followed with six nominations, including top male vocalist. Brad Paisley, Big & Rich and Sugarland all picked up four apiece.
The CMAs will be held in Las Vegas on May 18, and aired live @ 8PM ET/PT on CBS. Performers at the big event include Carrie, Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Sugarland, Taylor Swift and Kellie Pickler.

Jared: The nominations are for the ACM Awards, not the CMA Awards. The CMA Awards are in November. And the performers you listed are performing at the CMA Fan Festival in June in Nashville. That’s something different than the ACMs and the CMAs. They haven’t announced any performers for the ACM Awards yet. Here’s the press release for the CMA Fan Festival performers.
