Natalie Portman munches on a cupcake while on a short break from filming New York, I Love You in NYC’s East Village on Friday (6th Street and 2nd Avenue).
Portman, 26, and Irfan Khan, have been shooting just one of the 12 shorts for the anthology film. Thanks to the detective work over at NataliePortman.com, the short is called Kosher Vegetarian and Mira Nair (Vanity Fair) is directing.

First of all she is a vegetarian and doesn’t wear animal products in real life. Secondly, I’m sick and tired of people that assume that celebrities are political or support humanitarian causes simply to further their images. Sure some do but Natalie portman has been a vegetarian since the age of eight! This was long before she became famous and she has been true to it since then. As a much more pathetic vegetarian, who has broken down and eaten meat many times in the last twenty years I have to say I have nothing but respect for her. I mean at eight years of age the vast majority of us were not thinking that deeply about anything and Natalie questions a social norm all on her own. Her parents are not vegetarians. She’s a little individualist in the truest sense of the word. Cynical people are not individualist. They are conformists in the truest sense of the word. So to summarize, SHUT THE HELL UP YOU GEORGE BUSH LOVING FASCIST!!!
I think I’ll make another comment. Natalie portman is one of the best hollywood actresses of her age group and in some performances the best actress of any age group. She has an almost magical ability to seduce the audience. She would have this even if she was as ugly as a mule but as it turns out she is the most beautiful woman on the planet. I don’t normally care about celebrities but I’m obsessed with her. I plan to own all of her movies. Even the ones I don’t particularly like. She doesn’t even have to appear naked in them because I’d rather see her fully clothed then anyone else completely naked any day. She has done some nude scenes and for the record it was freakin awesome but she doesn’t have to. I’ll be watching her movies forty years from now.

natalie is not only talented actress, but a beautiful young girl and lovely person too. she IS a vegeterian, she doesnt smoke, never has, so as you already said, we could all take her as example. and jason, you spoke so well, made me cry. world peace
