I saw it months ago. The most deceiving Wong Kar Wai movie ever made. Some good romantic scenes, but nothing extraordinary, everything is trivial. “Chungking Express” and “In the Mood for Love” stay his best movies.

Actually Juno had a limited release… as did a lot of films… That doesn’t mean that the film is one of those “straight-to-dvd” films. In fact quite the contrary. Most… if not all of the high calibur and quality films have limited releases. Besides this film premiered last year at one of the most… if not THE MOST prestigeous film festival in the world… CANNES. To assume a limitted release means “straight-to-dvd” calibur film shows that you, yourself don’t have a high quality nor good high calibur film taste. Furthermore, it shows your lack of knowledge about how things actually work in tinseltown. Almost all of the Oscar and Golden Globe and Film Festival award winning and nominated films and performances had limitted releases.

I saw it in Germany last January and it was one of the lamest movies I had seen in a long time, despite the great cast.. Strange that it is released that late in the U.S.though..

I’m looking forward to seeing this movie. I just recently saw In the Mood for Love; I had not heard of Wong Kar Wai until hearing last summer about MBN , but he appears to make movies that convey more of a mood than a hardcore plot. Definitely not mainstream.

Hey!! I thought this movie had already been released in the states!!
I saw it in France at the end of last year!!

Its a good one ;) The actors are great, especially the ones with small parts such as Natalie Portman & Rachel Weisz who are both incredubly talented and give the movie a special atmosphere! Jude Law is good too, as always!! Although sometimes, the movie may seem a litlle long, it takes you somewhere else and is very nice!! Last but not least, i thought Norah Jones was so-so (i kept asking myself during the whole film why she had not stuck to the singing part…..)

Go and see it if you have the chance to ;)

about time they promoted it here in the u.s. they’ve shown it in other countries a while back already. i liked the film even though norah jones could really improve.

wong kar wai has a predilection for turning singers into actors.

I will watch it because Rachel Weisz is the best actress in the world. That´s a fact. And she´s beautiful.

I just watch the movie. Although I just went through a similar story than the character, I did not find it very moving. Is slow, veeeery lame,…some good scenes, very few. Seriously, and I liked Tokyo Story!
I think id a show off from Wong Kai War. Don’t waste your money, go watch the Counterfeiters, that’s a brilliant movie!

    My opinion
