Brad & Angelina: It's a Boy and a Girl!

Brad & Angelina: It's a Boy and a Girl!

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are having twins — a boy and a girl, reports In Touch.

Brad and Angelina visited her ob-gyn, Dr. Jason Rothbart, for an ultrasound last Friday.

A pal says, “Because she took fertility treatments to help her ovulate, her babies are fraternal. They’re ecstatic. She can’t wait.”

Brad and Angie are reportedly making new plans for their family of eight. Angelina wants Dr. Rothbart to deliver her babies abroad again — Shiloh was born in Namibia, Africa — so the family is gearing up for a move to France. “It means a lot to her to deliver her babies with him, no matter where in the world she gives birth,” a pal says.

Star Magazine reported Angelina was having twins back in January.

I take anything the Star says with a gigantic grain of salt. If Angelina is pregnant with twins doubt she used fertility treatmnts since twins runs on both sides of the family and according to Angelina in Vogue she conceived Shiloh immediatley.

AN SUSTEREN: I have seen you walk through the hundreds of students down here who are participating. You have Brad Pitt with you. What is his contribution?

CLINTON: Brad Pitt has moved down here, he and Angelina Jolie and their kids have moved down here, and he is supporting something called Make It Right, which is an effort to rebuild houses here in the lower ninth ward in a way that are both more hurricane-resistant and flood-resistant, and are greener, so that they are more efficient, they emit fewer greenhouse gases.

But from the point of view of people coming back in, it means their utility bill will be a lot lower. So the cost living here in these new houses will be lower than the cost of living in the old houses that were here before the water took them away when they broke through the wall.

(The Bone Collector on Blu-ray Disc- Hightlights of review below. One of my favorite, but scary AJ’s films)

    Bone Collector, The (Blu-ray Disc)
    reviewed by Matthew Smart

He takes his victims` lives and leaves behind mysterious pieces of a bizarre puzzle. And the only person who may be able to make sense of the serial killer`s deranged plan is Lincoln Rhyme (Denzel Washington), a one-time top homicide investigator. After a tragic accident changes his life forever, Rhyme can only watch as other cops bungle the case… until he teams up with a young rookie, Amelia Donaghy (Angelina Jolie), who bravely becomes his eyes and ears and searches out the clues that help them solve the case.

Presented as an anamorphic 2.35:1, ‘The Bone Collector’ on BD is a fine looking film, generally speaking. Blacks – and there’s a lot of them – are about as thick as you could ask for without obscuring detail, but not as deep as other BD transfers from the same period. The colour saturation is excellent, and the piece has a typically clean, polished lustre to it as the HD format suggests. H

While the old killer-thriller has been kicking about for almost as long as there’s been films themselves, there was certainly something of a resurgence in the late-nineties and early naughties as the studios attempted to churn out the next ‘Se7en’. ‘The Bone Collector’, based on the first in the Lincoln Rhyme series of novels by Jeffery Deaver, was one such 1999 attempt by thriller genre stalwart Philip Noyce.

(Follow up to MIR session- Entire article at link)
He described Cornell students’ service in New Orleans aiding victims of Hurricane Katrina, the university’s work to improve agriculture in India for “over half a century” and its current focus in Africa as examples of Cornell’s efforts to close the economic gap. And he stressed the importance of forging “real partnerships — not saying ‘we know what’s good for you,’ but ‘we’re here to partner with what you say is needed.’”
    Global Cornell logo

When Clinton asked Skorton how to engage students to take action, Skorton offered a four-step process in activism:

“First, listen. Listen and learn about what the problem is until you know everything about it [and] you’ve listened to what other people are doing,” he told the audience.

“Secondly, commit yourself to some sort of a plan. Don’t be afraid to write it down; don’t be afraid to share it with other people who have like interests; and take some friendly fire about it. So you have a plan, a roadmap.

“Thirdly, do as much as you can yourself. And then, fourthly, go to other places, including local, state and federal government, or other organizations, for your regulatory or financial needs, or the donor community. When you’ve done the first three — when you’ve listened, when you have a plan and when you’ve done everything you can do on your own.”

The next day, March 16, Clinton joined actor Brad Pitt for a walk through the city’s hurricane-devastated Lower 9th Ward, where Pitt has pledged to build 50 environmentally sustainable homes through his own commitment to CGI. More than 600 of the student participants at CGI U, including recent Cornell graduate Daniel Roth, were pitching in to clean up a 10-block area on the site of Pitt’s project.

So you’re a design junkie too?” Brad Pitt said to me, leaning out the door of an RV parked in the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans one evening in December. I was his last interview of the day, and the lines around his blue eyes were thick with fatigue. Outside, a street party was starting up, with a zydeco band and a gumbo truck. There were flashbulbs and Angelina Jolie with Maddox, and Jerry Lee Lewis taking a turn at the piano. But the guests of honor were the people from the neighborhood, dispersed by Hurricane Katrina. Pitt’s new nonprofit, Make It Right, wants to help them “get a house” by providing the difference between their assets and the cost of rebuilding. The catch was that they had to choose one of the sustainable designs by 13 different architects—an amazing list that included Thom Mayne, David Adjaye, Shigeru Ban, and Kieran Timberlake.

Stars dig in to help victims of Hurricane Katrina
Former U.S. President Bill Clinton (L) and actor Brad Pitt

NEW ORLEANS Former President Bill Clinton and Brad Pitt grabbed a rake each to start ground-clearing work on a project to build affordable homes for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Mr Clinton and the 44-year-old actor met hundreds of volunteers in New Orleans’ devastated Lower 9th Ward where the Make It Right Foundation, which Pitt heads, intends to build the homes. “We hope to see a huge change here in the next six months,” Pitt said. The volunteers are helping to clear grass and weeds that have grown over drains and pavements after the city was hit by floods when its levee system failed during the hurricane in August 2005. (AP)

(Interesting article of about Foreign adoption)

Road to foreign adoption grows longer

    Kristin Collins, Staff Writer
It seemed like a simple transaction when Tamara Lackey brought her adopted son from Ethiopia to Chapel Hill four years ago: The child had been living in a spartan orphanage, and Lackey was willing to provide a loving home. She filled out paperwork, and five months later her bright-eyed, smiling baby was home.

Hundreds of other families in North Carolina and around the country are discovering that it’s no longer so easy to take in the world’s neediest children.

Just as international adoption has become a mainstream way to build a family — helped by celebrity adoptions such as those of Angelina Jolie, who has children from Cambodia and Ethiopia — the practice is in crisis.
