Emmy Rossum's Practical Magic Ball

Emmy Rossum's Practical Magic Ball

Emmy Rossum (in Dior) is wonderful in white at City’s Harvest’s 2008 Practical Magic Ball at Cipriani 42nd Street on Tuesday in New York City.

The event raised money to feed hungry New Yorkers. The bidding was fast and furious over once-in-a-lifetime auction prizes.

If you haven’t already, check out Emmy as Bulma in the new Dragonball movie here and here.

this girl always dresses really well. She just has realy elegant taste in fashion. Like Audrey Hepburn taste.

I NEED JONAS BROTHER TICKETS!

I think she’s pretty and elegant, but she’s really boring. And i am so upset she is in the Dragon Ball Z movie. Seriously?! An anime show with all white people as asian characters? As a white girl who’s an anime fan, even i find that super wrong.

has not done much in her career
looks very different without makeup
kind of plain, but i respect her dressing formally, but the dress just hangs off her like she is a white ghost

her feet/shoes do not look great, respectively

I think she’s done a lot with her career but it hasn’t all been mainstream/ high profile stuff. Like she took a far more active rle in the creation of her album than most startlets do and the music is better for it (If you haven’t listened to her debut album “Inside Out” do so now!). As for Dragonball (not Dragonball Z), the movie does feature a mostly Asian cast (Chow Yun Fat, Joon Park, etc) and an Asian director. Only a few roles are played by non-Asian actors.

She always looks great and just because you haven’t seen her work doesn’t mean she hasn’t done much with her career.

OMFG SHE’S WEARING A MASK OF WHITE MAKE UP. LOOK AT THE CLOSE UP PIC WHERE HER HAIR LINE MEETS HER FOREHEAD. OUTRAGEOUS!!!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKK

Did you see her profile with hot pics? I saw it on ‘sugardaddychat. com’ several days ago. She’s sincere, sexy and hot there.

what has she done lately?
besides an album

Emmy is soooooooooooo fine!!!! I can’t wait to see her in “Dragonball”…. Dragonball is going to rock!

Besides the album (which took a lot of time because she did the writing, all the vocals- including back up, and arrangements herself) she just finished shooting the Dragonball movie and according to her blog is about to start something else. The last big screen appearance was in 2006′s Poseidon, but she did “Romeo and Juliet” at the Williamstown MA theater festival, and a tour as a YouthAIDS ambassador. She spent most of the summer and fall performing and promoting her album and in November she released sort of a bonus Christmas EP.

Emmy Rossum has a versatile face. Sometimes she can faintly resemble Rachel Ward, Audrey Hepburn, Keira Knightly, Alyssa Milano, Jessica Alba, Jane Seymour, and some other brunettes. But she also has her own distinct face that is remarkably natural, delicate, and feminine in a sea of manufactured Hollywood faces. She is very fitting as Christine in Phantom of the Opera. Anne Hathaway wouldn’t have exuded the same level of femininity, vulnerability, and naivete as Rossum for the role. While Hathaway bears some resemblance to Rossum (such as hair color), Hathaway has harsher features – an enormously wide, comical mouth and overly droopy eyes that is great for comedy but not for the theatrical glamor of Phantom. Rossum would also be a great real-life version of Belle in Beauty and the Beast animation.
