OlderHilary Swank Has No Eyebrows
Hilary Swank and Richard Gere arrive in Toronto, Canada on Thursday to shoot their new film, Amelia.
But where were Hilary‘s eyebrows?? Did they fly away??
Swank, 32, will play the title role in the the upcoming biopic about the famed lost female aviator Amelia Earhart. (She disappeared while flying over the Pacific Ocean in 1937 in an attempt to make a flight around the world.) Gere, 58, will play her husband, publisher George Putnam, who led a rocky relationship with the pioneering pilot. Mira Nair (Vanity Fair) will direct.

Swank is very passionate about her role. In Boys Don’t Cry, she lived as a boy for month to prepare for her role, in Million Dollar Baby, she had a daily routine that consisted of going to the gym and learning how to box. It wouldn’t surprise me if there was anymore method acting for the role as Amelia.
NOTE. Marion Cotillard also shaved off her eyebrows for her oscar-winning role as Edith Piaf!

Wow! I have been a big of Amelia (and Bessie Coleman) since I was a kid, and I think Hilary is just the right person to portray her. I’m seriously excited about this news.

To b honest, to me Hillary Swanks looks like an average Jane. She looks very manly.
Richard Gere looks good, though I don’t like his politics.
I wonder if this role will give Ms. Swank her 3rd Oscar….
Check out photos of Amelia Earhart online. Her eyebrows were very light. Makes sense to me that any actress portraying Amelia Earhart would try to resemble her as much as possible.

omg i remember shaving my eyebrows almost completely off when i was younger…my friend would draw them on 4 me at school… i looked like a freak!!
