Jimmy Fallon for Late Night Laughs

Rumors had been flying since last July that Jimmy Fallon was a front runner to take over Conan O’Brien‘s ‘Late Night,’ and now according to reports, the deal is sealed.

NBC will reportedly make the formal announcement about Jimmy around May 11 or 12, when the network presents the fall 2008 schedule to advertisers here in New York, sources tell Fox News.

Last December, Jimmy, 33, married movie producer Nancy Juvonen in the Caribbean.

Conan O’Brien will be taking over for Jay Leno, who will leave the “Tonight” show in May 2009 as part of a forced retirement.

leno rocks – conan rocks.

i’ll just watch conan then go to sleep, or switch to kimmel. fallon’s not funny. there’s nothing funny about someone acting like a doof over and over again.

Whoa. When I first saw that picture of him, I thought it was Ed Westwick (Chuck) from Gossip Girl. Haha.

Heck yes I’ll watch!

IM GONNA MISS JAY LENO!!! He was the best at it for our generation just like Carson was for his.

Its Letterman that needs forced retirement

He’ll be great if he can keep a straight face. He’s so young and funny he bring the right demographic to late night!

No, I won’t watch Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.

for years people will be forced to see him play the same character he did in taxi, since he plays that character in everything he does.

NBC must have the American people. SNL isn’t funny and neither is the cast. Boo…

yes I’ll watch!! I love Jimmy Fallon!

I might watch Kimmy but I definitely will not watch Conan. I hate him. I love Leno.

oh no, jimmy f is’nt funny at all. neither is jimmy kimmel. At least Conan’s still around.

No. I will not watch. I’ve seen him sub for other talk shows and they sucked. He’s wears thin after five, ten minutes. How many nights would anyone watch his har, har, har giggling at his self?

Craig Ferguson must be partying now. He’ll kick his ass.

Jimmy F sucks, Jimmy Kimmel is great…but the best buy for this job is Joel Mchale

F*CK YEAH IM GOING TO WATCH! but im going to miss leno. however, conan ROCKS. so its all good.

Worst choice ever. Why pick a dumbo guy who can’t talk instead of oh so many women who can?

Hi.

I’m from Portugal so I’m really not familiarized with Jimmy Fallon’s career and/or work, except now his “late night” show is transmitted in Portugal, so I guess I can give an imparcial opinion about it and… I really don’t think the show is even remotely funny, Conan O’Brien is missed around here.

Generally I do not post on blogs, but I would like to say that this post really forced me to do so! I found your blog on google and read a few of your other posts. I just added you to my Google News Reader. Keep up the good work. Look forward to reading more from you in the future.
