Ashlee Simpson will soon be back with a reality TV show, reports OK!
Of course, Joe Simpson, Ashlee’s dad and manager, is behind all of this.
“Joe knows that no one cared about [Jessica Simpson] before her reality show, and he’s hoping a show for Ashlee will have the same effect,” a source says.
One record-industry insider adds, “She’s been struggling with record sales. Now that she’s really interesting again, a reality show could do wonders for her career. It’s a part of doing business for this family.”
Could this help take Ashlee‘s career back to the top? The first season of The Ashlee Simpson Show ran in the summer of 2004, and her first album, Autobiography, dropped a month into the show’s run and debuted at No. 1.

Hah did Joe forget that one of the reasons Newlyweds are successful was because Nick Lachey was big back then. Nick’s fame played an effect on making Jessica’s career sky rock.

Thats why I have NO respect for any of the Simpson. They are just white trash. All of the publicity tricks they pull still didn’t work. Then they fall back to reality shows because they have no talent. They Simpsons suck big time and any body that deal with them suck to.
Papa Joe wants the amount of money offered for first pics of his and Ashlee’s , oh, I meant Pete’s, baby to increase. He doesn’t realize no one cares about these two. Can’t he find a new way to make money? Ashlee always seemed the smarter of the two, to keep dad at bay. Don’t change now Ashlee.
Um, the reality show may have helped ashlee but that’s because her 1st album was good. Her second album sucked, plus she lip-sung on SNL and that killed her career. But after that all she cared about was partying and plastic surgery. The reality show will just drive the nail in the coffin unless she learns how to write songs again.

if this is true, then papa joe has reached an all time low in my eyes. doesn’t he realize that no one wants to buy his products (daughters) anymore? when will he stop trying to use them for his own gain. i’m embarrassed for this clueless, self-deluded about their own worth and talents family. they need therapy so that they can maybe rejoin the real world.
