'Ugly Betty: The Musical' Coming to Broadway?

ABC’s hit drama Ugly Betty may be turning into a Broadway musical production soon!

Michael Urie, aka Wilhemina’s assistant Marc, told British radio station Heart, “They do want to do an Ugly Betty musical, a full-on Broadway musical, but it’s all hush-hush. I think it would be great, and they should use the cast from the show. I think we would all do it, although we maybe don’t dance and sing as well as professional singers and dancers. I think it would be fun for us to do it for a while, and then they could get real people in. They definitely want to do an episode that is a musical one, but then they want to do a full stage show. I think it’s a great idea. It would definitely work.”

Randi #12, Uglie Betty is based on the Colombian Soap Opera, Betty la Fea. Betty is going to get a makeover and she is going to end up with her boss at the end of the series. She is going to turn into a swan. Why do you think America Ferrerra has been losing weight. She is alot thinner since she started Uglie Betty.

The show isn’t ending anytime soon, #14. If this does happen, it won’t be for many seasons. Myabe America Ferrara lost weight because she wanted to rather than following some storyline?

Even though the show is really good and has a solid audience, a musical would be terrible.

The show is only just finished its SECOND season. Why don’t they wait until the show finishes it ENTIRE run before doing something stupid like this.

Plus, it’ll probably be in league with the Legally Blonde musical, which SUCKED!!!

The only thing worse than Fugly Betty is a Fugly Betty musical.

Great work Hollywood…keep dispelling the myth that you guys are creatively bankrupt. I just hope I can get tickets to this beaut. That and the the Geico Cavemen Broadway jug band jamboree.
