Carrie Underwood batters up at the 2008 City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge presented by the Gibson Foundation in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday.

The 25-year-old singer was the lead-off batter for the Grand Ole Opry Live team at Nashville’s Greer Stadium and got a walk in the first inning! Unfortunately, Carrie‘s team lost 8-1 behind the pitching of Jo Dee Messina who was dominant during the game.

Singer Sara Evans was also in attendance for the game.
